(SPOILER) Nicholas Brendon on Private Practice

I saw it I saved last weeks so I could watch them back to back. When they hadn't shown his face i could tell it was him by his voice. he did a very good job but the episode was just sad.

Last night's episode was heartbreaking, the cast was stellar.

Notably KaDee Strickland, Kate Walsh and Nicholas Brendon.

It was I was just like aw it was just heartbreaking all around.
This shouldn't count if he's just appearing in the end. 🙁

I agree, but he was featured in the title credits so probably it does.

However, this story arc is supposed to run the entire season and that's 22-24 episodes.

So there's always the chance that Brendon could return later this season or possibly S5.

Or pop up on a future episode of Grey's Anotomy as another character, Shonda loves to recycle actors.

Btw, is he still recurring on Criminal Minds?

Yep, he's been in 2 Criminal Minds eps this season, his 10th in 3 years. They obviously like his work as they keep bringing him back again and again🙂

He's a computer nerd named Kevin. So adorable. 😀

I just saw the PP episode! Wow, it was so sad and Nick was really creepy! I hope he shows up again.

I just got caught up with PP, I this episode was one of the best of PP, IMO. It was weird watching it, there was so many similarities to Buffys "The Body", the no background music, they used that so well, it was so uncomfortable to sit though the first half the episode, but I think they kinda lost that about half way through.

Nick was really good, he was really creepy, I didn't think I'd like him in the role, but he was really good.

And the actress that plays Charlotte was AWESOME, her one eye darting around the place was so creepy, there was allot of expression in just that one eye!

He was sooooo creepy. He really looked aged too.

I've never watched PP before but I have to say I was really impressed. Charlotte's speech to Addison about the reality of rape vs the Hollywood version was very powerful.

I agree that her speech about the reality of rape was amazingly powerful, but I couldn't help but be a bit upset by her choice not to tell anyone about what really happened to her. Adison's right, he could rape somebody else now. I understand she's traumatized, and obviously a very proud person, but her decision not to report it seemed selfish.

Nicolas was great. Downright creepy in fact, especially towards the end of the episode when he started to confess. Guuuuuhhh...

I think she will tell or it will come out, I think a lot of it had to do with it just happened.
I can't remember the exact moment, but it was during the confession bit, I think he said She deserved it, and smiled - that was super creepy, I'd like to see NB is more creepy roles, he was really good in this!

He did. I think it's because of the alcohol addiction, like Mathew Perry (Chandler) it ages people like crazy. Especially since Nick is 39, not really old.

When he told Sheldon, "I gave it to her good." it made my skin crawl.

Totally agree, then that smile after he said that. I had to stop watching for a minute.

oh yeah that was the line!
I'm watching right now, as I type this, and my blood is running cold. My God... I don't even watch this show regularly, so I'm not like attached to the characters or anything but wow... When I saw how she looked when the guy turned the light on in the supply closet, tears sprang to my eyes. 🙁
This is incredibly powerful and chilling... Applause to Nick for being able to finally break my "That's Xander" screen when watching him act.

Brendon finally broke away from "Zander" with this performance IMH0.

Hope he submits his name for "Guest Actor in a Drama" from next year's Primetime Emmys. Definitely deserves a nomination for his work in this episode.

I agree... I hope he gets recognized for his work here 'cause he is perfect. He made me want to reach out and hug him at the same time I felt like running away in fear. The perfect balance of lost confusion and sheer terror.

Nicholas Brendon needs more roles like this. Enough with "funny" roles, I find him more effective in dark roles, my best Xander moments has always been when Xander is a jerk to Buffy because there's so much mean that Nicholas Brenson does so well. Joss once said that Nick's acting has an edge to it that Xander comes off meaner on screen than on paper.

Anyone else see Charisma Carpenter and Emma Caulfield congratulate NB on his performance on PP? It was really sweet. So happy for him, he needs some good coming his way.

Aww, no I didn't see that. 😀 That's awesome though. 🙂 I guess those two might be closer with Nick than the other Buffyverse folks since they played his onscreen love interests.
