I know most people already know but just incase people who read this havn't seen season 4 I thought it was best to put spoiler tag up .
Anywho when What was Jasmines reason for having Angel become Angelus ? was it just as a distraction from Cordy ??.
Also is it me or does season 4 treat angel and angelus as 2 seprate people sharing the same body , as it talks about how angel doesnt remember the beast because of a spell but angelus wasnt affected yet they share the same mind. Also alot of people in the show talk about angelus not being who Angel is anymore but it is , as they are the same person.
Another point wesley talks about never meeting angelus but only read about him in books yet in season 1 "eternity" he becauses angelus even if it just brief

Angel and Angelus arent the same person though. Angelus is the demon and Angel is well you could say he was the soul. The man was Liam (sp) but Angel and Angelus are nothing like him. When a vampire turns someone theoretically the humans soul leaves the body being completely taken over by a demon. The Demon never leaves even when the vampire regains a soul but the soul I guess suppresses the demon. Angel is completely aware of what Angelus had done but while Angelus is Angelus, Angel is no where to be found. When Angel has his soul though Angelus is still there but Angel is the one in control, which Angelus has talked about saying how its disgusts him and what not to have to go through all of Angels self hatred and what not. idk

In "The Dark Age" 2X08, Ethan Rayne returned with the mark of Eyghon leading the spirit of Eyghon in pursuit of everyone with the mark. In the end, the spirit of Eyghon jumps into Angel where it fights the demon (Angelus) and loses without Angelus coming forth. Angel remains in control, although the visible changes are quite interesting with Angel distorting all over the place.
