Time of your Life, part 4

"Buffy and Fray take on a powerful foe, who's lasted hundreds of years just so she can bring down the last two Slayers."

Dru, right?

Maybe not...

Cover 2, no spoilers, unless finding out that Buffy has a very spiffy belt buckle is a spoiler

I never got the Dru connection. Seemed like wishful thinking on fan's part.

The one image that started the whole idea looks nothing like Dru, nor her trademark fingernails which are shown in plain view.

Oh gosh, now my theory about willow causing the anomaly seems more plausible than ever. The question that remains though: is today's Willow aware of what she will do in the future?
This brings so many questions...

I haven't shied away from spoilers before because I don't mind knowing stuff in advance. This cover, however, is the very first time I wish I didn't see it to be tollaly surprised by the comics.

i have to agree with everyone one that the willow cover looks the best. i just hope they dont have her turn evil again. been done

the second issue cover looks good however more detailing would have made it better

OMG, the Willow cover is just plainly gorgeous. It's the first Buffycomics cover I love that much. And... wallpapered! =D
I hope that, when the "episode" is released, this cover will be available in my comics store...

Doesn't mean it can't be done again, I mean Angel went evil twice and that worked out fine.

Raise your hand if you saw THAT coming!!

I just found this on LJ, posted on a S8 community I'm a member of, and I swear, my words are not postable on an all ages forum. I rushed straight over here. This is just unbelievable! I can't believe they brought Dark!Willow back! That cover is just gorgeous! *prints*

WOW! That Willow cover is absolutely stunning! I found myself just staring at it with wide eyes. By far the best season 8 cover yet!

Could this mean the Big Bad in Fray's world is Evil Willow? That would be a crazy twist, but my initial thought was that it was Willow using dark magic to get Buffy back to her time like in Get It Done. If it's the former, I'd love to see what they do with her without the constraints of a TV budget!

Wow! That Willow cover is AMAZING! And such a turny-twisty too. My mouth literally dropped open when I saw it. First with shock and then with awe. It's absolutely stunning. I'm all pepped for these issues now and I can't believe this one isn't till OCTOBER. Guh!!

wow well hello Dark Willow....long time no see. Wouldnt it be funny if Willow was the big bad in the future..

Maybe during season 6, evil Willow found a way to travel back and forth in time, kill Buffy's mom, and create all types of other goodies that made Buffy's life miserable... maybe other Slayer's lives miserable too... who knows?

Or maybe she's a Dark Willow from a parallel universe. She would be the future version of the vamp willow from the Sunnydale without Slayer that Cordelia had wished for (dont remember which season), which would explain her alliance with the lurks.

it could be a diffrent willow however cant be that one because vamp willow got dusted remember? but still it might just be a different willow from a different universe

Well, Evil Willow seemed to have a whole personality of her own with the whole "Willow's not home" remark. I'd say that she expelled the Dark Willow in chosen which is why her hair went white dureing the spell. But in the long way home part three her eyes went black so hmmm, just a thought.

Actually Willow becoming evil makes sense. Remember she wasn’t too fond of Buffy stealing the money for her own personal gain and after witnessing the rebel slayers, using their slayer abilities for evil. Maybe she believes that performing that spell changed things for the worst and decided to kill off all magic, ending the slayer line. Knowing that Buffy was going to arrive in the future she waited for hundreds of years in order to kill off the last two remaining slayers. Just my opinion.
