This is supposed to be "Angel & Faith," right? It looks more like something from Edgar Rice Burroughs, Otis Adelbert Klein, or John Norman.
Just a wild thought... could this possibly be the hell world that Angel spent a century in between Seasons 2 and 3? That's the best that I can come up with and stay within Whedonverse canon.

Obviously this is the Eldre Koh alternate cover, kinda his POV, which I think is neat.
I suppose from his POV then 'the slayer and the vampire' will maybe be getting in the way of his age old quest for vengeance. They're the bad guys.
I like the art here and the tone is very ancient mystic/otherworldly- sort of like what they did with the soul glutton back in Buffy, only better.
Isn't it supposed to be ancient earth-that-was, back when Illyria and everyone were roaming about? So that's why he wants to speak with her and find out who imprisoned him? That's my reading of it.
And it's all telling that we get more background on him in three pages here than we did during the entirity of S9.
A&F continues to rock.

It could also be an alternate dimension. Those are still in Whedonverse canon.
I think the art is fantastic. Conrad has absolutely made this season for me so far. I am really enjoying the story, and loving all the developments in the last few issues, but his art is one of the main reasons I feel this season has been so good so far.
I hope we are going to get a season 11, and hope even more so that he will be apart of the art team.
As for the preview: I am glad we are going to be finally seeing some of Koh's background because he is one of my favourite newly introduced comic characters. I like that they are introducing a new "warrior "to this title because Angel always has had an interesting relationship with other male "champions". I think he is going to be a good fit.
