SPOILERS! Preview Pages For Buffy #34.

I don't think Willow reacting the way she does towards Buffy/Angel is even any proof she has done anything wrong. She is the one protecting Buffy, the other slayers, and everyone else. Angel is the one who has been attacking them. I would bet that someone did a spell on her, which is why she is reacting the way she is. Angel so far has not shown any actions that qualify as being actions of a decent human being that should say a lot. Angel is nothing but a creep in my opinon he thinks he is allowed to hurt people because it is for the greater good, no that is wrong on so many levels.

He said people will either be happy about the redefination of B/A or they will hate it. My thinking was that people will hate it because they 1) aren't Bangel and more specifically Spuffy, 2) they are Bangel and don't like the new direction the pair are taken in or 3) are neutral and plain just don't like the storyline.

I think they're going to have sex, and mystically fuse into one single person actually named Bangel, who will have the powers of all Slayers and all vampires. And Joss will have rotten fruit thrown at him by Bangels, Spuffies, Neutrals, and even people who never heard of BtVS before. 🙂

Hey, Spike mystically fused with Mask!Angel, and became Spangel in #26

Maybe Twilight fuses with both of them and the big bad finally shows himself. But Spike kicks his ass and end of story. :)
Stupid? You bet. Love? Definitely! Out of Character? Not even a little bit...
Agreed. Buffy has never been known for making the most sound decisions while under the influence of good ol' Cupid.

MY GOD...Andrew, that is by far the most horrifying idea you've come up with yet. *shudders* I'll volunteer to buy the fruit we can throw at Joss, lol.

fruit? BATTLE AXES!!! :p
Lorne(read his one shot) and Ghost!Wes are gone for good this time.
What? Oh no. 🙁

My head may quite literally explode from the sheer power of the lulz that would bring if it happened. 🙂

Don't worry about it, he's wrong. While Ghost!Wes is W&H's unseen lacky for the foreseeable future, Lorne is only temporarily out of the picture dealing with a health issue and re-balancing the universe.

After Hell A. went back to normal Wes disappeared into thin air. I´m sure he is gone forever and Lornes one shot is the end of his character too.

IDW has specifically said the door is not closed on Lorne as a character, at least as far as their comics are concerned. They just wanted to give the character a good spotlight tribute, and then a break, out of respect for Andy Hallett.

Of course, as far as Joss's canon is concerned, Lorne is still right where he was as of issue #23.

you may have a good point on that.
i was fascinated when they used'Pinky And The Brain"lol.
so the watchmen reference i guess isnt that surprising.
you are right about the fans not getting exactly what they think is gonna happen.
this is a joss whedon creation which means a lot of mess and turmoil is about to start.
also love your banner it looks like gomez and morticia.

My greatest source of comfort right now is my knowledge of the Three-Act story structure.

The end of this arc... the issue following this week's... is the end of Act II of season 8. That's the turning point of the story, where the hero has finally taken all she can take and decides to do something about it.

Those shippers who are currently delirious with joy at what Buffy and Angel are doing should be aware that it's occupying the place in the story reserved for Plot Point #2... also known as the Reversal or the Last Straw. A terrible event that forces the hero into the course of action that results in the Climax. (Of the story.)

So going by the Three Act Structure, the current tryst between Buffy and Angel is going to lead directly into Something Very Bad for Buffy or, more likely, for both of them. Like waking up from a nice dream to find your house on fire around you.

We all know how much Joss loves sudden, jarring reversals.

Then by the time the final act starts in #36, Buffy (or Buffy and Angel) will have an idea what they have to do to solve her (or their) problem, and the question will be, can she (or they) do it?
