Spread the Positivity

I’m going to a new school, it is the grammar school I wanted as my first choice but i didn’t get into it at first, so I guess that’s kinda positive! Also happy to be on Buffy Boards as my main happy lockdown thing! 😊 💕

We love having you 💖
Been struggling with writer's block for over a decade, but the other day I was like 'I'm in the mood to write' and I found a prompt on Tumblr that immediately inspired me, and I just sat down and started writing. Three pages for the prologue and yesterday I finished a ten-page chapter one. Everything's outlined, I know exactly how long it will be, and someone already made me a really pretty banner. I can't wait to post it in the future. It felt like such a different experience because I didn't keep rereading it, over and over again, in fact, I haven't read back a single word, I just keep looking forward. I think that helps a lot.

I regularly give to charity. Being a Christian, I feel its important to help the needy, and in the bible scripture it states “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19:17)
Any particular charities? I give monthly to my sponsored child, but I regularly give to others as well as do events.

What I find most interesting is when I speak to the Emu's next door. I realize they don't understand me but do they comprehend my manner of speech ie: if I try to sound comforting to them.

For some reason that put a massive smile on my face! That’s too cute! 😊 💕

Recently I gave to the International Rescue Committee after the explosion in Lebanon. I also give monthly to Save the Children, the Red Cross and the National Deaf Children's Society. I always feel compelled to do more, though, so we'll see about that.

Things have been looking up for the past few weeks as one of my favourite pastimes has returned: garage sales.

Today, I scooped a ceiling fan with light locally, new in box, for $20 but most of the local places have been tapped out so I decided to widen my horizons by going northwest, because sales here generally run out of stuff by noon whereas rural sales go on well into the afternoon. I managed to find one sale in Halton Hills that had elf and Santa steel tins that my wife uses for candy and other things. There was also a marble cutting board my son-in-law likes because it is ideal for cutting and marinating meat as it is not absorptive of any juices. On the way home, I went through Acton then south where I stopped at Chudleigh's farm, famous for its apples and even more famous for its pies. I have just finished a huge piece of an apple crumble pie and my wife couldn't finish hers so I am now finishing hers. I had to give contact information to get into Chudleigh's - tracing coronavirus contacts is starting to get serious here. Noe it's off to walk the dog before I go into a diabetic coma - I am not diabetic but I can feel the sugar overload coursing through my clogged arteries.

Sorry @Spanky I did the adulting, I paid off my credit card today!!
Wait, so this whole positivity thread isn't about something positive you did for other people? That's what I thought it was about being "spread the positivity" like, what positive thing did you do for someone today kinda thread.

I don't spread my positivity, I hold onto to it and horde it so I never runs out.

Both can be celebrated
Alongside my teenager and my husband, I managed to get the people with the power to change a decision regarding which school my teen should attend after we moved. As of today, he his back at his old school, with his friends, the way he hoped for. 💪
