Spring Clean 😁

The dogs stuff outgrew the laundry cupboard, so I cleared out some shelves in the kitchen to switch the dogs stuff there and keep all the first aid kit and batteries and torches out in the laundry instead.

Im am considering how to store my lithium batteries for the garden tools. I was wondering if wrapping them in a fire blanket might work? The fire proof containers are too expensive, and the oldest batteries are about 5 years old but still work fine.

Same! It is supposed to be rotated, then flipped, every few months, but it is heavy, large and inconveniently shaped for doing so.
Done mine! Hopefully it'll help calm the weird dreams down.

I should do mine on Sunday when I change the bedding.

Lithium batteries should be stored where water cannot get at them. A lithium fire cannot be put out with water because water feeds the fire. Maybe a waterproof shed away from the house would be a good idea.

Yeah the laundry floods, but the outside shed gets extremely hot in summer, the house can be kept under 40C but no where else can!
Ok, its actually spring now and I have a whole day home tomorrow that I do NOT want to waste. Keep me in line with the spank plank pls.
Wash the car
Wash the dogs
Wash my hair
Clean the bunny pen
Whippersnip the courtyard and poison the back paths
Start fires if the weather permits (and should probably check its still allowed...)
Clean the kitchen after my whipping cream mess up the walls
Vacuum at the end.

Volunteers are required to perform a spring clean from any member of Sineya. A good clean of all the ' working surfaces ' of the ' work ' features in the Black Thorn's dungeon. 😉

Off Topic, sort of.

When the spring clean has been done could it be described as sprung clean?

Washed the car today. Just waiting for it to dry off before I wax it. So glad I have leftover pizza and do not have to worry about cooking or dishes today!

Need to wash the bedroom rug, and give the cat trees a good vacuum too.

Kitchen floor is on the to do list. And still on the list is defrosting the freezer

It's late autumn here and I'm currently busy with uni, but I have a lot of work I need to do hopefully by the end of the year; my first big project has been going through a lot of old clothes and reorganizing my library, which has gotten absolutely too large and unwieldy for the tiny space I actually have to dedicate to it. I should probably start re-gifting books to my friends to read, but a lot of the ones I'm trying to get rid of are ones I didn't like and wouldn't wish on anyone I consider a friend, haha. Once I cut back a good bit on the things I own, I can start reorganizing the things I have. By summer (or winter for those of you for whom it's currently spring) I want to start working on the bathroom. Things have kind of been piling up for a good while and it's going to take me the next year or two to get things back to a reasonable state.

As far as the everyday kinds of chores go, I need to do a second load of laundry today. I also let that pile up for a little too long. It's a really bad habit. I also don't mop as much as I should, but I try to always make sure I do it around the holidays so that I come back to clean floors after spending time with family.

I took a few books to my local little free library, @CardboardGhost do you have one of those nearby. An official one would be on the website, but we've got a few phone box libraries around here too.

I would have put a thread like this in the dorms, but they are pretty dead these days. So I will put it in the bronze, even though its a bit boring for a party place!

Spring is here, or autumn for the rest of you, is anyone doing a big clean? Whats the plan? Do you change your colour schemes? Dust the cobwebs? Any change of season house habits?
In these coming weeks this month, I plan to clean my gutters and do some yard work to prepare for the winter, clear some old fencing and take it to the dump and also clean and treat my deck. So fun. Ugh.

As long as they don't have to sand it:

Luckily for mine I just have to keep on top of the oiling and its pretty good. If I had to replace boards I would probably do that. My floors inside the house are jarrah, but the front deck is not jarrah, so would be pretty cheap to replace a board if need be.
