There are billions out bush but its too difficult to photograph on this phone, the bigger flowers at home are easier to see, despite the quality.

Are there any flowers in your gardens?

The flowers are well hidden here now, going into colder weather. I don't have flowers but I have a couple of trees - one of which a neighbour cut down a couple of years ago, without permission, and it just regrew with a vengeance (gaun yersel!). I've let the grass grow long too, 1. Because it looks natural, and I don't need to cut my grass to prove my status like the old days, and 2. It stops my lovely neighbour from having his dogs shit on my privately owned land. He is also really fussy about how things look and nature offends him, so I also hope it just annoys him lots.

Less ranting about the worthless human race and more birdwatching for me lol. It's my anger management. 😉

I don't need to cut my grass to prove my status like the old days,

This makes me feel so much better haha. The oldies are quite set in their ways here and I blow their mind a bit. They are mostly not nasty but most will comment. My neighbour across the road understands what I am doing, he just thinks I am doing it the hardest way rather than trucking in new soil. I have let the garden grow long and stay green as green right now. Summer will kill it all anyway, and then it is mulch for next year. The ducks love it. They go around eating the seed heads of the grass and very much enjoy the dandelion, as do the bunnies. I dont have to pay out of pocket to feed any of the animals, its all growing here.

Many of the aussie bush flowers are so tiny, I am now used to hunting out little pretty things rather than expecting them all to be in my face. I took my dad out on the wildflower trail and I think he completely missed the flowers I was excited over. No wonder he recommended therapy and drugs again...

Okay, okay, I'll get over it. I do like autumn, it's just that my plans for today were incompatible with sleet.

I was out at dusk trying to untangle the nets I left up from last year on the pear trees. They all exploded into flower today. I hope we have seen the last of the frost here! The wisteria has left a pretty purple carpet for the ducks to nap in. The jasmine makes the whole garden smell divine.

I'm slightly jealous of those of you who are enjoying spring right now. It's fall here, and we just had our first hard freeze of the season a few nights ago. Most of my flowers and vines are black from the frost. The trees, however, are bursting with every color imaginable! This makes for lots of picture taking adventures, which I love!

I actually like fall, but it reminds me of the fact that winter is just around the corner. I am so not a cold weather person. I love hot weather, and I think I would be perfectly happy with just three seasons, spring, an extended summer, and fall.
