Spuffies--Do You Like Angel?

Angel on Btvs = 🙁

Angel on AtS = 😀

On Buffy they wrote him like a human guy who had to live with what some demon did while in his body for a century.

On Angel they wrote him like a demon who was forced to view his past through the eyes of a human (soul).

Which one makes for better drama?

I love Spangel friendship; so I'll say that while Spike is my OTBA (One True Bad Ass), Angel comes in at a close second.

I like Angel just fine despite anything I make him do in my stories. I'm just happier when he stays in Los Angeles. I even kinda rooted for Bangel back when he was on BTVS, but now it's all Spuffy, all the time.

Actually the only character I don't care for is Riley, and it's based entirely on the gut reaction I had when he came onto the screen.
 
I have nothing against angel but spike was a much better character, his storyline and relationships developed better and he looked better in a leather jacket. also its easier to appreaciate angel in his own show when were not just worrying about how things between him and buffy will work out.
 
Yeah, I still like Angel. I preferred him when paired with other characters, like Cordy in the early years or Spike in S5. But he's a great character and definitely deserved his own show.
 
I tend to be indifferent to Angel's character in BTVS (they didn't gave him enough material beside his relationship with Buffy, and I don't like what Buffy and Angel bring out in each other, so it didn't help), but I liked him on his own show ! His friends brought something new to him, made him evolved, and I loved that. He's not one of my favorites characters, but he's interesting and complex.
 
Angel was so boring on BtVS. He didn't even have his ol' lady's back in Prophecy Girl.

Then he became Angelus and I loved him. Then he moved to AtS and I liked him a lot.
 
Loved him in "Angel." Thought he was a fantastic character, (one of my faves on both series). I'm not so sure how I feel, after season 8. Ugh.
 
I love Angel. He's one of my favorite characters.

The Season 8 stuff bothers me, but for some odd reason my brain blocks that part out when I think of his character as a whole lol.

I like Angel. I like him a lot more in AtS than I did in Buffy.

I like what he is and what he tries to be. He's really interesting to ponder.

And he's hot.
 
Well, the way I feel about Angel has nothing to do with Spuffy. I actually used to like him, but now I really dislike him. He's TOO serious. TOO uptight. And he's not becoming any nicer as the soul gets old. I just don't like his personality. In the beginning of Buffy, okay, I can stand him, even though he sounds like a hurt puppy sometimes. Then he moved to his own town, and it's great that he's out of his own now, it did good to him being apart from Buffy. But I can't stand who and how he is. He annoys me becaus he's too uptight and all about the mission all the time. Have fun from time to time!!
 
I like Angel in AtS. In BTVS, his character was never that complex.. But still, there are moments in which I don't like Angel. He just can be pretty annoying sometimes. But every character can, so it doesn't really bother me.
 
Used to be indifferent to him in S1&2, progressively annoyed after that (with quite a number of moments that I'd just have like to kick his butt, hard)... until S8. Now I just can't stand him anymore, at all, and would go for less butt kicking, more heart staking.
