So, I've been wondering if there is a correlation between loving Spuffy and loving Cangel. In the interests of science, here's a poll.


*Note that saying you love Spuffy and/or Cangel is not tantamount to saying you didn't/don't love Bangel
 
None of the choices given reall apply for me. I love Cangel, I think we're clear on that, lol. And SPuffy...I don't know, I neither love nor hate it, it's okay I guess, I'd say I like it.
 
I love them both!
It's not that i don't like Bangel, I just like The other relationships better.
 
I don't actually LOVE either relationship. Of the ones actually portrayed on the two shows, however, I think that they had the best chance of lasting the longest. With Joss, of course, we know that NOTHING is permanent, not friendship, not death, and CERTAINLY not relationships.
 
uh, im indifferent to both. ok im not really fond of Cangel because it always irks me because of the way cordelia was with angel in the beginning of buffy, ok i know she's changed and all but i can't get that out of my head and i feel like its cordelia finally stealing buffy's man or something... ok im weird.

As for Spuffy, the first time i ever saw this unfold i hated it. but now i am indifferent to it.

I think that's why a lot of people don't like Cangel.

Anyway, I like Spuffy and Cangel.
 
There should be an option for people who hate both, cause I don't like either.
 
I liked both. I liked Spuffy more. Cangel seemed a little forced, but still likeable. I picked Love Both because it's the closest to my actual answer.
 
I might seem a bit dumb here, but is Spuffy Spike and Buffy? and Cangel Cordy and Angel? I'll assume it is and say I hate both. Angel and faith would of made a good couple me thinks. If im wrong about Spuffy and Cangel give me a slap and then ignore this post.

Yup. Spuffy = Spike & Buffy. Cangel = Cordy & Angel.
I love Cangel, like Spuffy. Actually, let me rephrase that...love Cangel, hate Spuffy in season 6, love Spuffy in season 7. I don't understand why people hate Cangel so much. I mean, I LOVE Bangel, but it was just puppy love. Cordelia and Angel have much more than that, even if it does seem slightly forced at times. I wish the two of them had gotten together. Maybe if they had a solid onscreen romantic relationship, more people would like them.

As for Spuffy, I thought their whole 100% physical relationship was just awful, since he loved her with all his heart while she just abused him then used him (it rhymes!) The first time I watched season 7, I was, for the most part, indifferent toward them. I was still a Bangel shipper, since I hadn't seen Angel yet. But now that I've seen the heart-wrenching last scene with Spike and Buffy, rewatched season 7, and discovered Cangel, I'm starting to like Spuffy a lot more.
 
I haven't been on the boards long, but have noticed two topics which tend to generate spirited discussion are Spuffy and Cangel, and the fantasticness or abomination thereof!

Personally, I love(d) Bangel, but def moved on to Spuffy and Cangel as the series went on.

I guess I kinda assumed that the strongest defenders of Cangel were also more likely to ship Spuffy, and vice versa. But maybe not...?
 
I think we all know where I stand with this...I LOVE Bangel...HATE Spuffy and I liked Season 1-2 Cangel when they had that cool best friend vibe going but they ruined it when they brought in the sex!

I must've missed something, 'cause I don't remember any Angel/Cordy sex. They danced around it a couple of times, there was one time when she came on to him like high school Cordelia did, but that was when they had all lost their memories, and a couple of kisses, but all but that last smacker in Season 5 were under the influence of some kinda spell. Other than Eve and Nina, ol' Angel was pretty much celibate except for that one day that never was, and that was human Angel and Buffy.

I didn't mean that they actually had sex but that their relationship moved from a totally sexless friendship to one that potentially would have had them as lovers...i.e. sex became part of the equation where as before it wasn't.
