Thought I would answer some of these questions.

What are your top 5 Spike/Buffy scenes?
- Buffy biting Spike's ear in Something Blue. Actually, that whole episode.
- "Out. For. A. Walk... Bitch."
- The ending scene of Smashed. ;D
- In Chosen, where Buffy sleeps in Spike's arms before the battle.
- When Buffy kisses Spike (thinking she was Buffybot) after he was beaten up by Glory.

Which season's Spike/Buffy do you like best?

Nice vid (makes me look for more info on the music authors). Spuffy vids made me fan of 3DG, Staind, Lifehouse, 10Years and Blue October (I mean, really, made me buy some of their albums..considering just the shipping costs vs internet)

The link to Shadows on the Soul keeps crashing my browser, but I've read it over Noel of Spike and love it. Best line goes to Spike:"Well, when you put it like that, I'd be in love with me, too."

What are your top 5 Spike/Buffy scenes?
Oooooh, that's hard. Okay, I'm going to try and skip over the most obvious ones, and go for the smaller, simpler Spuffy scenes that I love.

1. The last scene in Intervention is a given. This is the first time Spike's ever shown that his love could be selfless, and it's also the first time Buffy see him as something other than a monster.

2. The scene where he says, "I'd do it. Right person, person I loved. I'd do it." It seems small, but again, it shows that Spike's love for Buffy has a very selfless nature to it. He's obviously saying, "I'd do it for you."

3. When she admits to him that she was in heaven, or rather, his concern for her before that. When he sees she's really upset, he calls her "Buff," but then he tries to keep to the status quo by calling her "Slayer." It's honest, genuine concern, and I think that's part of the reason Buffy tells him. Also I love that she says "I can be alone with you."

4. When Spike tells her she's better than her job at... whatever that horrid fast food restaurant was. Again, gotta love caring Spike. He also offers to help her financially, being the first one of her friends to do so.

5. The little moment in First Date in Season 7, after Spike gets tossed around by the demon. Buffy runs over to him, and the look they share is just so obviously love. And then the screen pans to the Principal, and you can see that he sees it too. Love that!


Which season's Spike/Buffy do you like best?
Five is a given. I'm torn with Six; it has both some of the best Spuffy scenes and some of the absolute worst. But I guess I do like it, because it is pivitol to their relationship. Seven's great, too, although Potentials and other annoying plotlines kinda drag it down. Spuffy was definitely the highlight.


Which of the show's writers do you think "got" Spike/Buffy the most?
I actually don't know many of the writers. I think Whedon got him pretty well from the interviews I read. He seemed to really like Spike's redemption plotline, even though it wasn't strictly planned.


Which of the show's writers do you think "got" Spike/Buffy the least?
FURY. I hate Fury. Okay, no, I don't hate him, but I hate his ideas about Spike. Let go of your canon, man! You're the ones who broke it, so don't try to fix it once you already smashed it to bits!


Which is your favourite Spike/Buffy kiss?
OMWF. Love the scene before that too, when he stops her from burning and sings to her. Amazing!

What are your top 5 Spike/Buffy scenes?

So many, but first ones that pop into my head:


Intervention - "What you did for Dawn and me... that was real." From the moment he first came on screen in Season 2, I thought Spike was interesting and sexy, but this is the episode that made me fall in love with the character.

Afterlife - the scene on the stairs and then the hand-holding on the couch. The tenderness from Spike gets me every time.

Smashed - Just because it was SO HOT! It could have been cheesy, but I thought it was great.

Beneath You - the whole monologue in the church. Every time I watch it I get chills. Not a particularly romantic scene, but way intense.

Touched - Spike's "You're the one" speech and the subesequent scene of him chastely holding her while everyone else does the naughty. Really shows how far they have come in their relationship at this point.



Which season's Spike/Buffy do you like best?

Season five. I enjoyed the panicked realization and unrequited love phases.


Which is your favourite Spike/Buffy kiss?

Also the one at the end of OMWF. I'm pretty sure I actually jumped up and cheered at that point (even though I was watching it by myself).

This is true. He was the first of her friends to offer to help her financially. Yet, she didn't accept because she knew what he meant. He was probably planning on robbing someone, or raiding a bank or something 😉

Haha, no, I totally agree. He definitely would have used nefarious means to get that money. In fact, I've convinced myself that the money he would have gotten in As You Were was going to be dropped in Buffy's mailbox anonymously. But still, I just liked that he at least wanted to, you know? Her other friends didn't really make an effort--although they're all at the same stages in their lives, so maybe they didn't have any funds to offer.

Not to mention the fact that Willow AND Tara were living in Buffy's house rent-free as far as we know (until Tara moved out in Tabula Rasa.)

I know they were both students, but they could have gotten part time jobs. Poor Buffy is slaving away at the Doublemeat Hell while they lay around in bed! *grrr*

I wish Buffy would have taken Spike's offer, even though it would have been "wrong" according to her strong moral code we love her so much for. 😉 I mean, she didn't really have time to be working - she had a mission, a duty to the world!

I'm sure that she also had to work there to look "legit" to social services as well, so Dawn wouldn't be taken away from her. If she was getting money from a unknown source (Spike) Buffy would have had to report it to that evil social worker and Buffy wouldn't have known what to say.

Oops. I think I'm going off topic.

To make this relevant:

You know what hilarious scene in "Gone" where the social worker comes over and Spike tries to put in a good word for Buffy by saying that Buffy doesn't allow Dawn to spend time in his crypt? Buffy replies with, "Crib. Crib. He said crib. You know kids today and their buggin' street slang." LOL

Poor Spike. He's only trying to help. 🙂

Hahaha, awwww. "Buffy's a great mum!"

She was mean to him then, too. =( You could see that he was at least trying to be there for her.

But that scene reminds me of Season 2, when Buffy told her mom she was in a rock band with Spike. "She plays the triangle--drums. She's hell on the old skins, y'know."

I love how he always goes with it and helps her cover, even though he could just be like, "Screw this."
 
I LOVE that song! And I love that video--thanks for sharing! It's very well done. Lots of sexy scenes.
 
I always feel a bit sorry for Buffy in Gone - I mean her life is utter crap. She works in a greasy, dead-end job by day, slaying by night, she's over-worked and under paid, has money worries, Dawn is misbehaving and she has the social worker on her tail and nobody but Spike seems to give a damn. And, yes, she's shagging him and she has all these contradictory feelings for him and she doesn't really want him to be there for her, but he is and it annoys the crap out of her. She chops off her hair out of frustration and because it is something that he expressed aprecialtion for. The social worker scene always meakes me laugh though because everything looks so bad - Dawn is late, Spike looks like the uber-bad boyfriend from hell and there is a suspicious looking bag of magic weed. no wonder Doris threatens to take Dawn away.

Yeah, 'crib' is a way of describing where one lives, I guess. I have never used the expression, but I have seen it used. There's a show here on American MTV station called "Cribs" where famous people show off their fancy homes. Perhaps that's where the expression became popularized.

I'll bet Spike watches it, lol.

Please divert your attention to the 3rd letter in the "Slay the Critics" section in the latest S8 issue. In this letter, the author Heather asks:

Buffy...still has no idea Spike is alive? Will we ever see Buffy and Spike reunite, even for a moment?

I don't think anyone ever said that Buffy doesn't know Spike is alive. It hasn't played into this story...one must assume that a lot of conversations have taken place off-panel, inculding conversations with Andrew.

I...don't even know how to handle this. Is Scott saying what Buffy does know Spike is alive? That we are assume that Andrew has told her (like I'd always suspected)?

Wow.

I was operating under the hope that the only reason why Buffy hasn't made the effort to contact Spike was because she didn't know he was alive. If she does know he is alive and kickin' and still hasn't bothered to contact him, we can pretty much assume that she simply doesn't care.

This is a sad, sad day for Spuffies indeed. I feel just gutted.

How do other Spuffies feel about this?

Indifferent... I gave up on the comics a long time ago. I'm happy with the show canon and fanfic.

read the last Q&A with Allie in my last post on Spuffy thread
More than anything it would be lazy writing. Spike was clearly important to Buffy and her journey and if there is not so much as a mention then it not only sucks for Spuffies but all fans of the series and of quality writing.
