Staff writer from the OC compliments Buffyverse.

AH: In terms of pure economics, the success of the Spider-Man and X-
Allan Heinberg might not be exactly what you think. While he may work on hit shows like Sex In The City and The O.C., he is also a comic book fan. Part of a new generation of comic book writers like Geoff Johns, Joss Whedon and J. Michael Straczynski who have come from other mediums to write comics for one reason: because they love comics. Now he is assembling a new group of young heroes who want to try and find out what being an "Avenger" truly means.

Men films have definitely given comic books more cachet in Hollywood. But the television networks are still trying to figure out how to do super heroes on the kind of budget and schedule that doing twenty-four episodes a year requires. It's a tricky proposition, but not impossible. Joss Whedon and company did it year after year on Buffy and Angel -- and beautifully, too.

Since my other Buffy mentions/relating thread was sent here, I guess I'll just post it here.If the mods think this isn't the right place, please move it.

Are you telling me it's confusing figuring out what goes where?

No problem, I'll explain it one more time.

If it's about BTVS or AtS, it belongs either in the pertinent season forum, character forum, or failing that Inside/Out.

If it's about Whedonverse crew, Joss himself, multiple characters, characters that don't have their own forum, general Whedonverse, or ships it belongs here.

This one's pretty borderline, but I'll leave it here for now.

Your Buffycharts thread would have been sent here, because it concerns multiple characters.

Its always nice when other people who make television recognise Joss' work, especially as The O.C. is the "in" thing at the moment. Although to me it looks like rich kids Dawsoning.

Yeah but they're not as good looking as the DC cast IMO. Well atleast the guys aren't. Joshua Jackson...mmmmm...Kerr Smith...mmmmmm

The cast of the OC is a lot hotter in my opinion.

Katie Holmes is no Mischa Barton or Rachel Bilson.

Mischa is the classic beauty, while Rachel is the hot spunky little thing. And the moms are quite tasty too!

And I would not consider the OC the "in" show of the moment, because afterall, the ratings have dropped greatly and the buzz on it is not too good either.

i love the oc.. it was billed as the new dawsons creek, but thats like comparing the god awful hex to buffy... although i was a big dawsons fan the oc deals with more risque story's... joss is an amzing writer and i think he will be pleased with any compliments from his peers wotever they work on :cheerlead
