This is probably a dumb question with an obvious answer but...How would Wolfram and Hart's Standard Perpetuity Clause work for the already undead?

You mean that they sign over their "souls" or afterlives? I guess it works the same, even tough the essence would be different between all the different kind of species working at W&H. If they could have vampires working for them too, they would. Not sure how it would work with the soul.
But when vampires die, I suppose they sort of pass on to another afterlife.
I can't actually remember that much about the clause or the details we were given, but I remember thinking Angel and the others were morons for signing it.

I can't remember Angel or any of his people signing the contract. Apparently Fred didn't, or Illyria's essence was stronger than the Senior Partners' hold on her. For that matter, Gunn wasn't working for them in Hell after he died, either. I have no idea why Wes would have signed the contract, but he must have been the only one to do so

We don't see them sign the contract, but Wesley apparently did, since he worked for them after his death, so I assume the others did too. With Fred, there was just nothing left that could keep working, her essence was (supposedly) destroyed.
And in a way, Gunn did do as the senior partners said(if I remember correctly), or at least what they wanted. But either way, he became a vampire, he didn't really die, so his "soul" or whatever couldn't be tied to the senior partners(or maybe his soul was off working for the senior partners while he was a vamp). Point is, I think it might just be the true dead, like Wesley, that counts, for the clause to work. That's my guess.
