The Talented Mr. Elba won't even be able to save this. And why did they make him look like G'Kar from Babylon 5?
 
I knew that it was about time for the "Enterprise" to take off again. Thanks for posting this.

I still, after two movies complete and #3 well on the way, miss the real cast. Having said that, I am glad, and grateful, that they rebooted the franchise just enough so that the new people can create their own characters, rather than simply try and imitate Shatner, Nimoy, and the others.

Just the idea of the next Star Trek movies being 'landbased' seems odd to me.

Can't really tell much from this. Just a typical trailer- stick all the action and some of the best comedy bits in it and play an (awful) bombastic soundtrack over the top so its all incoherant.
I like Simon Pegg and it looks like he's got a much bigger part here, so I'm pleased.

He wrote it- or rewrote it- so of course he gave himself a bigger part.

The trailer is a bit naff, but you sir get extra points for the use the word 'bombastic'😀

Some of the best Star Trek have been the more comedy based ones so if their taking that direction after two more hard hitting films that's no bad thing, but Justin Lin has tall shoes to fall from JJ.
 
So far, I've enjoyed the "Star Trek" reboot, though some of the changes, while I can live with them alright, still keep reminding me that this is not the "Star Trek" of my college days. If for no other reason, I will always be grateful for two last opportunities to see the "real" Spock onscreen and hear once more the simple phrase that always summed up the Kirk/Spock dynamic so perfectly, "I have been, and always shall be your friend."

Of course, it was nice to hear "Live long and prosper," too.
 
Another JJ movie ... and again ... a Star Trek fan that is disappointed.

REVERANGE is sweet ... as now he is going to piss off Star Wars fans real soon.
 
Ok trailer, but the Beastie Boys song did not fit. I do like the new Star Trek movies, not seen the shows, but I've liked the JJ Abrams movies, this one looks ok, just not a good trailer.
