Stargate/Farscape fans

Don't know how many fans there are of Stargate or Farscape that post here. Being a fan of both these shows makes this little bit of news even better for me though.

Ben Browder (John Crichton in Farscape) is joining the regular cast of Stargate's ninth season in a so far unnamed role. It's likely he will be the new fourth member of SG-1 though in order to fill some of the role of Richard Dean Anderson's General O'Neill who may only be a recurring character this season due to RDA wanting more time with his family.

But better than just that it has just been confirmed that Claudia Black (Aeryn Sun of Farscape fame) will also be in season nine, returning to the role that she plays in an upcoming season eight episode. Can't be any more specific than that for now as i don't want to include any spoilers. However she will be featured in a five episode arc this time around.

So Crichton and Aeryn reunited on a totally different show! How weird is that going to seem to us long term Farscape fans? Definitely looking forward to it though.
 
Well, we can tell by my AV that I LOVE ME MY Farscape, but I'm not sure I believe this rumor...it seems a tad too coincidental.

Pagan, can you post a source here of that information?
 
Jacklyn this news has been flying all over the net and has been confirmed somewhere along the line for it to get this far. (unless it hasnt !)

i do like farscape and PK war was amazing but SG1 just seems to be dragging on a bit, i fear we're just going to see a watered down version of Crichton in rehashed plots 🙁
 
No problem Jacklyn. It is far more than a rumour though. SciFi has confirmed it all already.

I saw this on the BBC Cult site yesterday and also thought it great news 🙂 Oddly enough, LazyDolphin has recently compared the character of Crichton to Daniel Jackson and I don't think he'd heard this news - I'm having that boy tested for pre-cognitive ability 🙂

Yea - he's still going strong. He occasionally posts on Karma and has a blog on (I think) Live Journal (the url is on my other PC) which is often good for a chuckle in that old Dolphinesque style, where I sometimes leave the odd comment🙂
