Does anyone else like Stargate SG-1?? i was just wondering. i think that its really cool and im watching the 7th series for the moment but its finished for christmas and wont be back untill the 6th January 🙁 but oh well anyone else here like it??? 😀
 
Yea, SG1 is OK - it's a good, fun show with not too many pretensions. I'm looking forward to seeing how this series pans out now they've lost Jonas and Daniel is back. Although I think I must've blinked or something when they explained how Daniel got his memory back so quickly 🙂.

I have read that
Dr. Janet Fraiser
gets killed soon which is a shame - one of my fave supporting characters.
 
I really liked Jonas i cant believe that they got rid of him. i thinkt hat they sould have found some way to bring Daniel and Jonas into the show together. but oh well i cant wait to see how this season ends either 😀
 
It's worth a look Allycat. More sci-fi than the Buffyverse, it is a spin-off from the Stargate movie and has been going for about seven years. There have been one or two duff ep's but you get that with most shows...
 
Stargate is great.

I'm hoping Jack gets Sam in the End. They've saved the world more times than Buffy, even. They deserve some smoochies.
 
I think Stargate SG-1 is a pretty okay show. My brother-in-law is a huge fan; he owns the first 5 seasons on DVD and is eagerly awaiting the release of the 6th for Region 1 (much like me and Buffy DVDs, come to think of it!). I've only seen the earlier episodes - I got a kick out of the big black alien dude with Her Majesty's Wax Seal stamped in his forehead. 🙂

I think it's good rather than great. When it first started I put the worst eps on a par with "Quantum Leap" - a show I'd watch if nothing better was on. The best eps were up there with good Trek and pretty much unmissable. As I said before I think it's a good, fun, sci-fi show with not much pretension and usually worth watching if you're a sci-fi fan.

They've developed some good story arcs over the run of the show and there have been some very good stand alone stories. The good guys are likeable heroes as a rule and the baddies are generally pretty damn evil, alien, slave-trading, would-be galaxy conquerors - although there have been a few more characters (and alien races) who are a bit less black and white. As I would say about anything, the best thing is to watch a few eps and decide for yourself - but, for what it's worth, Stargate SG1 carries the Mr Pointy seal of approval with a big two thumbs up.
 
Big fan of SG-1! I was so pleased that Michael Shanks returned as Daniel. I love the ad-libs often made by RDA, the humour they manage to get away with too, I would term it as a great show but then I have been watching since the first episode and I just think it's the whole package that makes me such a fan of it, the stories on their own, or portrayed by other actors etc would not be as good imo. They all just seem to have a great rapport with each other and obviously enjoy making the show as much as their fans enjoy watching it and I think that comes across in each episode!
 
I love SG-1. It's a great show. The friendship between Daniel and Jack is really well done, I've laughed so much at the interplay between the two...but it's good how they can have a serious side aswell.

I was really disappointed when Michael Shanks left. The season without Daniel isn't one of my favourites....but I do like the character Jonas. It's a shame really because it's a bit like when Prue died and they brought in Paige only the audience didn't take too well to the Jonas character.

And I agree with nerd4hire....Sam and Jack definately need to hook up. Was it season 2 or 3 that they placed a lot of focus on their relationship...I can't remember....but I loved it 😀
 
I so thinkt that Jack and Sam should get together as well. i think that Jack is hillarious with some of the stuff that he says i alwso think that Teal'k (sp) can be really funny sometimes as well.
I was so glad that Daniel came back i thought that it was so sad when he left. but i did like Jonas and i was sorry to see him go as well but it was to bring Daniel back so im happy LOL!!! 😀
 
haha LOL i know i wanna watch more episodes as well but skyone has finished it untill after christmas 🙁
