Ok, and now here's the rest of that story i was writing. It's short, i know. And i might expand it later on down the road. But for now, i'm happy with it! 🙂
*******************************************

Outside, the car rushed off the property, its two occupants heading off for another distant shore, preferably a happier one than the one they were standing on. His left hand gripping the steering wheel in one hand and his other on Drusilla, Spike did his best to focus on driving. A small part of him regretted leaving the Slayer to her fate, but whatever small fragment of him actually cared was quickly overtaken by the darkness inside him.
Kicking the sword away from his enemy's hands, Angelus couldn't help but smile. This would all soon be over, and Acathla would rise, and the world would be destroyed. But now, he had a task to finish, and there was nothing stopping him.
"No weapons, no friends, no hope. Take all that away, and what's left?" He asked her, noticing that her eyes were closed. Her life was probably flashing before her eyes, and the very thought filled him with pleasure.
"If you're going to kill me, Angelus, then get over with it." She replied, the words flowing out of her mouth with just a small fragment of the power she wielded behind them.
"With pleasure." The sword raised above his head, Angelus watched as it began its quick descent towards its target. And then, it stopped, just inches from her skull. Come on, just a few more inches and her blood will stain my hands! He thought, raising the sword again to replace the power that the swing had lost. And again, the blade stopped mere inches from Buffy's head.
Something's wrong, I"¦I can't do it! He nearly shouted the thought, wanting to let the frustration out in any form. He couldn't kill her, and the reason why was torturing him, making his blood boil, and his skin crawl. I love her. If I kill her, then a piece of me dies!
She still stood before him, her eyes shut with the concentration that could have snapped a window, if she had been a witch. Had she not noticed that he had failed repeatedly to kill her? It seemed like hours had passed, but in reality it had only been a few minutes.
If I can't kill her, then there's only one solution. Dropping the sword and grabbing her in a single move, he went straight for her neck. She was fighting him, punching and kicking him in vain. In a matter of minutes, it would be over, her life would be over. And the next night, her new one would begin.

"Te implor, Doamne, nu ignora aceasta rugaminte." (I implore you, Lord, do not ignore this request.) Willow chanted, her head bowed slightly with her eyes wide open. Beside her, Cordelia and Oz looked on with a mixed feeling of horror and worry. Putting down the sage that she had been waving earlier, Cordelia gently pushed the hair out of Willow's eyes.
"Will? Snap out of it!" She said, turning her gaze to Oz as Willow continued chanting in the ancient language of the spell.
"What do we do?" She asked him, genuine fear in her voice. Her eyes turned towards the orb that lay in front of Willow.
"Nici mort, nici al fiintei..." (Neither dead, nor of the living...)
"Oz, smash the orb! I"¦I think it's hurting her!" Within a split second, Oz had picked up the orb, the key to restoring Angel's soul, and thrown it down upon the ground beside Willow's hospital bed. Willow screamed, her red hair falling out of her eyes before she fell back onto the bed. Quickly checking her pulse, Oz looked back at Cordelia.
"She's alive." He said, returning to his chair. He looked down at the shattered remains of the orb, and then back at Willow.
"Something tells me that Sunnydale's population is about to get a lot thinner."
"What do you mean?"
"Well we stopped the spell before it could be completed. That means Angel's still evil."
"And if Angel's still evil"¦"
"Then Buffy's still in danger."

Falling to the floor, the world around her was rapidly fading into black. The cement floor was ice cold beneath her body, and she could feel her blood starting to boil. Angel had killed her, she had failed, she had failed everyone.
"Buffy"¦" He started, kneeling beside her. Using all of her strength, she interrupted him.
"Monster"¦"
"You know, I feel like being generous today, so you know what? I'll save your life." The line ran through her mind, and as her brain put the pieces together, she felt fear shudder through her body. He was going to turn her. Make her like him. A vampire.
He rolled up the sleeve on his shirt, and taking the sword that was lying by his side, he cut a thin line, with blood quickly emerging from his skin. The red liquid started to roll off his arm, a small droplet falling to the floor silently.
Moving his hand behind her head, he pushed her towards the thin line of blood. In the back of her mind, she remembered what she had told Xander once, when he had asked about vampires. They have to suck your blood, and you have to suck their blood. It's basically one big sucking feast.
She tried to summon the strength to say "No" but Angelus had sucked too much blood out of her, depleting most of her strength from her body. As her lips met the cut that Angel had made on his arm, she couldn't stop herself from swallowing as the red stream flowed down her tongue and into her throat. It was positively the most disgusting thing she had ever tasted.
Almost immediately his blood began to burn through hers, infecting and destroying any shred of humanity left in her. She swore that her skin was on fire, and she tried to scream, although no sound escaped from her throat. Her body was convulsing randomly, and she was surprised to see that Angelus was still hanging on to her. Whatever part of her brain that was still sane deduced that he was sticking around to enjoy the "˜show' that he had created.
That was when he did the unthinkable, and he leaned down to kiss her on the cheek, before tightening his grip on her as her convulsions got gradually worse as more and more of her humanity was being destroyed from within her. Her soul was being torn to shreds, and she was surviving it. He admired her for that, more than she would possibly ever understand.

A Day Later

Her eyes opened slowly, her vision still glazed with the nightmare she had been having. Images flashed before her eyes, of fighting Angel, him biting her neck and the blood draining out of her jugular. It all seemed so real, and in a way it was.
"Morning beautiful." His voice wrapped around her ears like velvet. It infected her brain and made her heart want to jump.
And that's when she realized that her heart wasn't beating.
She shot up from the bed, her arms flying to the bite marks on her neck. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Angelus move swiftly out of the shadows. She wanted to attack him, to drive a stake through his heart, and yet, every time she moved her head, it only caused a wave of dizziness to overtake her vision.
"You can try and attack me, though I think that you'll only find yourself unable to hit me in the right spot. After all, the transition exhausts your strength for a couple days. It's been a while, but I remember what it's like." He said with sympathy. Or rather, whatever amount of sympathy he could still feel.
"You turned me?" She asked, her voice filled with disbelief. Seeing a mirror lying broken on the floor near the door, she rushed over to it, and looking into it, she saw"¦nothing. The room behind her was lying empty, with the mirror image of herself gone. She could feel tears forming along the edges of her eye lids.
"You're not happy." Angelus observed, taking a few steps towards her. Gripping the mirror in her hands, Buffy turned and hurled the object towards him. He ducked underneath the flying object, and as the pieces smashed against the wall behind him, Angelus smiled. Not the smile that had been filled with care and kindness when he had been Angel. No, this was a smile that was filled with wickedness, a desire to cause harm.
"Happy? You think I'd be happy??!! I would have preferred it if you had killed me!"
"Really? But it seemed such a shame to ruin such a pretty face." He replied, smiling that devilish smile. She charged at him, aiming to do any damage she could. As she threw a punch at him, he simply grabbed her fist in his hand, and he strongly grabbed hold of her other arm. She was crying now, and inside himself Angelus felt truly sorry for her. In time, she would learn to adjust. After all, it was only a matter of time now before she got hungry. Grinning inwardly, he imagined the entire scene playing out in his head.
And somehow, he realized that turning her had been the right thing to do. Someday she would thank him, someday. After all, they were going to live forever, and he was good at waiting.
