Since I've just had to ban buffy man from the board for the second time as he has completely ripped off this board whilst creating one of his "own", I just thought I would remind everyone that anyone using anything from this board without permission will be immediately and irrevocably banned.

If you want to make your own site, go ahead, but use your own ideas and do your own work. Don't copy mine and all the other people who have put the effort forth into this site.

More importantly, be an honest and upright person - not a liar, thief and cheat.

Well...he had a different buffy board...and he spam pmd a bunch of people about it, so I banned him, as is our policy.

But then he sent me this email:

I am sorry about spamming your members and sending them messages about my site. I did not know that I was not allowed to advertise my site. I was not telling them to join, I was just simply letting them know that I have one of my own. I was never trying to be rude, If I had known that it was against the rules I definately would not have done it. I am sorry if I have made you mad or have come off as being rude. That was not at all my intention. I ask that you please take me off ban from the site. Your site is great and I really like it. I will never again do this. Please reply and thank you for your time.

So, I (stupidly) decided to give him another chance.
 
his email sounds a bit panicky, like his source of 'original inspiration' was kicking him out. What a dick. Sorry, but stuff like that pisses me off. I had a friend once, lets call her Marie... since that was her name. And we both made our own websites at about the same time, people liked mine better, so she hacked into my account and stole it. It's all ok tho, I beat her up a few years later in 8th grade.... it was great.

That's really pathetic and I'm very sorry to hear that BS. I know that I'm pretty new here and I'm not as active as I'd like to be but I really have a soft spot for this site. Members and staff included. It angers me that anybody would steal somebody elses hard work.

I don't think there are any other members in this community that would steal anything. From what I've seen there are only polite and interesting members with profound views on Buffy and Angel. I wish to play a more active role here in future and I'm truly astounded by this because everyone has been so welcoming, polite and helpful. I'm a Moderator on 3 other Message Boards and the members there don't come close to the members of Buffy-Boards.

That really sounds like I'm trying to be teacher's pet (Do Preying Mantis' have pets?) but I'm just telling it how it is!

this applies to peoples grapic work too right? 'Coz i hate seeing work ive done/know someone elses has done, and some crazy person is claiming its their own.
