Jeeeesus. Thanks for letting me know!
As a United fan my first reaction was to laugh...and one more time..lol

Has he been let out yet?

Well there goes Liverpool's season...so much for captain fantastic!

Since i support newcastle i need to laugh as they slaughtered us on sunday and now i can laugh at them for something! 🙂

First off we don´t even know what this means yet. Don´t have to be as bad as it sounds now. Even though I´m dredding the worst.

Secondly we´ve won against both you and Chelsea more or less without both him and Torres so you never know. If he´s away maybe others will step up. If only Torres comes back...

Steven has never been the sharpest guy on the planet. Yes, that´s no secret. Great football player but for the rest. Well...

And that every other fan from other teams are enjoying this is natural. But you really don´t want us to bring up the things Rio, Ronaldo, Evans and Rooney have (supposedly) done do you?

Oh go ahead, bring those up :D
Yes, I'm a Man U fan, but I'm also an England fan, and I was shocked when I heard this news on the way home from work yesterday. Liverpool's impressive season is about to go down the toilet. Gerrard is the backbone of that team. If he's out, then the rest of the team aren't going to be able to cope.

I saw this and went NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's been charged with assault and affray and is due in a magistrates court next month.

and to add salt to his wounds...his personlised Bentley was sitting outside and apparently he got a parking ticket as well.

Not such a good day for him.

I hope they stop him playing until the outcome is determined. I'm not really a football fan so I don't care about the teams but it would set a bad example if he still plays with this hanging over his head.

LMFAO at your adoptees!!
I was talking to my dad about this earlier, and I was saying how it's so unlick Gerrard to even been sen out at nightclubs and stuff, let alone getting into fights, even minor ones where he doesn't get arrested. And my dad pointed out that we don't know the whole story, only what's been released to the press. To me, there has to be more to the story. I can't imagine Stevie G just attacking someone. There must have been a reason. I'm not in anyway condoning what he's done, and I seriously hope that the guy in hospital gets better soon, I just want to know what really happened.

I agree with Faith in that I hope Liverpool take him off the 1st team, or at the very least bench him, but I foresee a 'innocent until proven guilty' reaction, and Rafa playing him just to prove a point.

Oh I totally agree it is never clear cut, look at the whole Christian Bale thing for proof of that.

Rafa playing him....does Gerrard play tennis now?

Is it only me that's a bit more concerned about the guy he put in hospital than Liverpool's prospects?
He´s gonna be ok so concerned isn´t the word I´d use.

it would set a bad example if he still plays with this hanging over his head.
Good in theory. But sadly it´s not the first time a footballer get in trouble like this. So if people haven´t been stopped from playing before why should he? Time to start sometime? Sure. But we don´t even know if he´s guilty or not yet. Being punished if he´s guilty is one thing but before that? No. One would think that having something like this on your mind messes with your head well enough to affect your game anyway. Even though that doesn´t send a message.

I was in Southport Monday afternoon in the restaurant opposite the bar where Steven Gerrard was arrested. Never heard of him before this as I've never really watched football, but as we were having lunch a van pulled up outside the restaurant and a film crew came out and started filming a man talking outside the bar opposite. Didn't really think much about it, but when I got home I saw the shot on the BBC news with the news report about Steven Gerrard. That could've been my one minute of fame! 😉

Psshh! Please.

The Brits have miles to go before they catch up with American athletes.

At least a soccer player hasn't been caught discharging a weapon into his leg in a nightclub.

Or gotten killed outside of one.

Still....what in the bloody hell was the guy doing at a nightclub at that time of night?

According to the news here in Australia, the so called nightclub is a small restaurant.
Or gotten killed outside of one.

Andrés Escobar A soccer player but not an english one.

Still....what in the bloody hell was the guy doing at a nightclub at that time of night?

Celebrating a great win, being top of the league and not having to play for 14 days.

Oh go ahead, bring those up 😀

Nah, I´m too nice for that. Kean can do that herself. And it´s a good thing Chelsea players never have been in trouble...

Kinslayer: Duly noted.

Even so, Gerrard should have had the wits about him to a. have someone with him to act as a check on him, and b. know when to get the hell out of there.

That means calling the Celebrity Drunk Bus. As always...if you've had too much to drink, call 1-800-BAAAHHH and a vehicle will come by to make sure you get home safe and don't make an idiot out of yourself.

(The last sentence, if you wondering, advertises a non-existent service.)

Oh, I´m not denying he screwed up. No matter how much he did (most things are just gossip tis far) in the whole situation he shouldn´t end up in it at all. Simple as that.
Shame. Not a liverpool fan, but he always seemed pretty decent. Guess everyone wants to act like a scumbag these days.
