Marvel is proud to announce that acclaimed writer, director and producer Steven S. DeKnight ("Spartacus," "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," "Angel") has joined "Marvel's Daredevil" as Executive Producer & Showrunner on the all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015. Drew Goddard, who also wrote the first two episodes, will continue to serve as Executive Producer on "Marvel"s Daredevil" as he writes and preps Sony's "The Amazing Spider-Man" spin-off film, "The Sinister Six."

It was never confirmed that Goddard was going to be helming Daredevil, they probably knew right from the start that he'd be leading Sinister Six but had him start the process for Daredevil while they found a show runner.

What's Steven been doing the last while, he's been running the Spartacus franchise right? (I say franchise cuz I could never tell if that was one show or one show with 50 million spin-offs!)
 
As long as they do it right this time, and they don't cast someone like friggin' Adam Sandler in the title role, I'll give Daredevil another shot.
 
I am unsure. I do not have much faith in Marvel for the small screen. And it's dwindling for the big screen actually.
 
O hope it shown on netflix UK and not just the US version, I like the Daredevil character so will probably tune into this.
