Some of you are members of the Karma Board too so you'll have seen this thread already but for those of you aren't...

This thread is meant for you to tell us about any nicknames you used to/or still receive from school or your family and friends. I don't mean it to bring back bad memories or anything like that. I just hope that you will be able to laugh along with each other at the stupid little names people had/have for you.

Hmm, when a child, I couldn't say my real name, so I named myself Tantine. Later on, ppl teased me calling me glan-glan which I hate (glan in french sounds like gland, which means acorn).
Then with my best friend during junior high school, I was named Titine, which was cute & made me even more childish.

Now, at the boarding school, I asked that everyone call me Faith, & almost everyone call me that name, & I like it. Everyone else at home just call me with my real name.

oh & online, I'm mostly Frenchy (which i like a lot) or FF (ambiguous coz of Final Fantasy but quite nice ambiguity, lol)

well since my real first name is Gina.. there are some potential bad nicks i could have gotten as a child, but i never did... the first to say anything was my lil bro when he was 12 and i was 14... he said va... gina... in norwegian that is not said in teh same way, only almost. va or hva means what.. so he was saying va.. gina and at the same time what gina... then when i was 15, the boys in my class(well they wheren't the quickest..) mentioned it once, they called me vagina(sorry if it's a no no BB words.) and i just looked at them and saied dryly; you couldn't conect that until Now? and when we learned about angina... more the one person in my class started laughing.. Oh and a girl in my class when i was 16, conected the words as well...

oh i has a friend when i was in 3rd grade called me ginnis.. (writen liked she said it, it was based on the world record book 😉)

in junior i would get called danny-fanny.. because it rhymed.. i hated that with a passion.. when i was in high school i got named mouse.. but spelt maus.. god knows why i did.. cause i dont really look like a maus.. but i have grown to like it so.. then by my brother i get called stupid,dumb,prostitute,d*ckhead the list is endless..

Didn't really have any nicknames... Except "Skinny Bone Jones" because I was REALLY skinny around 8. Yeah, my 4-year-old cousin (at the tuime) made it up and my brothers just copied him. It didn't really affect me much...

I heard my parents calling me a fat butter ball, in home videos, when I was young. Apparently, I only liked eating things soaked in butter... and I was fat.

I used to get called a load of things. Elmo... hence the handle; Eleanor... don't ask. It was my cousin. People would call me speccy four eyes at school. My friends now call me Heza, or Heva (which I don't mind at all.)

Guess I have answered to this at Karma as well but.. can I answer here too?

Anyway my name is Johanna and like ten years ago people called me Jojo.. and later Hanna.. both cause of my name of course.
Later some people tried to get everyone to call me Micke, which is like "Mike", a nickname for a guy (it has to do with my last name which begins with "Michael")..
These days in real life I'm always Johanna..
But at the net I seem to be "epo", which I've started to like. (Lol, I get that people find my eponinethen-name long and confusing.. )

Hm...I have alot of nicknames...some of which I am still called today...all of them are from when I was younger though, so I really wish they all would stop calling me these lol

The embarrassing ones are: Kates, Katesy, and KatieBird
The ones that I'm still called today mostly: Caitlin...well, thats my real name lol, um...Katie, Kate, CatCat(lol dont ask), stupid, dumb@ss, idiot, loser (<---those are from my brother lol), um....Katie-lin (I hate that...my friends used to tease me in 3rd grade calling me that so one day I just told them I didn't wanna be friends with them anymroe and they stopped 😛), Anja (pronounced Anya, it's my German name for school), or Olivia (my confirmation name, since I hate my middle name lol)
Yea...there's a lot of names for me....i get sorta confused sometimes 😛

Most people call me Shell,but I've had people call me Shellbo(Sooooo annoying,whenever my friend calls me that i wanna slap her,lol,But I just get her back by calling her SMEG),and my half sister used to call me Shellfish,which I really hated,some girls in the year above me also call me Shellfish,just to annoy me.

Thanks elmo. That's what I think about my name too, lol (I had a hard time remembering it in the beginning too). But everyone's fee to call me epo, I've sort of got used to that now I and do like it. (Almost whish people in real life would call me that, heh..)
elmo is one of the cooler names too btw, always liked it (and it's a lot easier to remember than mine, hehe).

Hmmm..Ice Queen both for the fact I was an ice skater and a girl without feelings....Anushka- coz it irritates the sh*t out of me(Russian version of my name and I hate Russian), occassional giraffe when was younger and soo much taller than anyone else in my grade..that's all I remember at the moment..
