An Extract From The Diary Of 'Father. Andrew Stuart'
It's the 22nd day in November of the year 2029, it's been five days since the sun departed from the skies in this once glorious city, now the south end is over run with these demons. The Church has long since known about the existance of Vampires and the like but never had we in the clergy expected to see an uprising like this, never had we expected to see the sun leave the sky. Never had I expected to see my lord leave our side, some say this is Armageddon, this is our punishment for falling into sin...
Since the death of the legendary vampire slayer Buffy Summers, the creatures that inhabit this earth have been getting stronger, when Sunnydale California had fallen to the menace, we never thought we her in LA would be next... and now... now all we must do is wait for these monstors to pick us off one by one... already some of my congregation have been turned... turned into killers or merely left for dead on the streets... I fear that I lose my faith in all it's entirety, I do not wish to leave the fold but if survival in this worl... no this hell means anything then I must do what is best for myself but then again can I abandon those who turn to me for help...
There is talk of another Slayer, although since the death of Buffy Summers, none have come close to supressing the dark powers at work and although other rumours have spouted that a Hellmouth can be closed once it has been opened... I do not believe it... hope is slipping away slowly but surely... they say the Hellmouth opened underneath the empire state building, that's why it took so much damage, the higher levels crashed to the streets below as all manner of energy surged through the Hellmouth releasing all sorts of creatures onto the earth... I must end this entry now for I have to attend the meeting with the other parishes... maybe they will have an insight into what has happened here although they will probably be as clueless as I...
OOC: Rush Job but I hope it gives you some direction, will add some big bad bits later in the week... remember the journal rests on the alter to the church... Andys body slumped over the open pages...
