Is everyone else getting a hacked homepage? GRRR! These people make me angry.
Listen, you idiot scriptkiddy - If you want to make a political point do it in a proper place, not by upsetting other people's innocent enjoyment. Get off your stupid, blinkered, middle-class arse and do something positive - go to the Middle East and help feed people or re-build their country. Make a real difference instead of making me annoyed!

Sorry guys - rant over. When will the board be back to normal? Alternative methods of navigating are getting too hard for my old, easily confused brain 😉
 
I had that as well. Talk about trying to confuse me! I was very annoyed by this silly hacker!! (the word silly had to be used to replace another word which i will not use on this board)
 
Yea, I have to admit that my rant should be read with the appropriate expletives in place rather than "idiot", "stupid" etc. But being as this is such a nice, friendly board I didn't want to offend anyone. Most unlike me, as I'm sure friends and family would attest 🙂

Actually that's an idea - I may put a pic of my grandchildren instead of me in the mugshots thread. They're much better looking 🙂

Seriously though, I suppose it could've been worse. Matey might've been a real sicko who wanted to kill or hurt people to get his point across, rather than an annoying maggot who irritated a few Buffy and Angel fans.

Oh, c'mon, every popular site gets hacked sometimes, let's all be happy, it's not such a big deal and can be avoided so easily. Plus, he does have a good cause 😉


But seriously, let's just be thankful that the site is still intact.

Whatever the rightness or justness of the cause (and I'm sure the jury is out on that one😉) it doesn't make it less annoying when a site that I enjoy visiting gets hacked. But, as I said above, now I've chilled out a bit it helps to put things in perspective - no serious damage done. I just wish scriptkiddies like that would just go and play with each other or pick on the big boys and girls at the CIA or FBI rather than annoying us "normal" folks and giving real hackers a bad (sorry, worse) name.
 
Yea, some guy making a protest about US involvement in Iraq hi jacked the home page. I noticed it late last night. I guess people using the same URL in their bookmarks as me will be affected. I think I just had "www.buffybytes.com" rather than "....com/index.php" so it may not have been seen by all.
 
So how is this place back??? I am going insane over nearly the loss of this place. What other sites were hacked???
 
Yer I put this in my favourites...so I wont get the hacker things anymore so tis all gravy now!

I'm sorry but I don't find anything happy about the situation. The hard work of others is not the place you should use to attempt to enforce your opinion on others.

While we are glad that the sites (it was done to 2 others) have remained fairly well intact that isn't really the point. What they did was very illegal and disrespectful.
 
Not sure, but I ask that you please do not send any nasty emails to it incase it creates any further problems, and perhaps this time deletion of the boards.
