Netflix has interrupted my Buffy/Angel watching this weekend! I watch Instant Play on my Blu-Ray player, and for some reason, Smashed will not load. So, I figured, OK, I'll move on to my Angel viewing, and the next episode of season 3 won't load either (Carpe Noctem). I also can't watch Fredless. I can watch episodes that come before and after these ones, but not these. And I'm not the kind of person that can move onto the next episode, then come back to these ones. I'm kinda anal like that. 😉 Besides the fact that I absolutely have to see Smashed to really get into season 6 Spuffy!

I called, and the guy said that he would let the tech team know, so when I get back control of the TV tonight I'll see if they're fixed. He also asked me how I liked these shows, to which I replied that I'm a big Joss Whedon fan. He replied, Oh yeah, he did Firefly & Serenity too, right? And he knew that he was doing some Marvel movie- yep, the Avengers. So, hopefully I've convinced someone else to watch some Buffy LOL.

Anyway, there are definitely days that I wished I had the DVDs. 🙁 And LOGO has season 4 & 5 Buffy on this weekend (they take foreeeeever to move on!). LOGO on demand only has Fear Itself and All the Way, both of which I've already seen.

Vent over.

Netflix is run by a bunch of Butt-Monkey's...My Fiance' worked there and got out when the getting was good!
I've noticed that about netflix.... They are bad about having certain episodes show up as 'only available on DVD'. I'm like "How can you have an entire show available for viewing except for, like, 3 episodes?!"

I love Netflix, I am dissapointed with them lately! When I am watching an episode of Buffy, the sound will stop for about a minute before coming back on.

Not that big of a deal, but if im paying monthly, i expect to have these shows played in good quality!

Netflix works fine for me... just watched a couple of episodes of Buffy and Angel, all of Firefly, and Serenity in the span of about a week. Had no problems whatsoever 🙂

...except maybe that I have no life if I have that much time on my hands. 😛

Will season 6 eps load for you? I had even more trouble tonight: still was unable to watched Smashed. I was able to watch Wrecked, but not Gone, and the majority of the rest of season 6 was not available either. Grr. Same thing with the eps I tried watching of season3 of Angel. So, I started watching season 1 of Bones. Oh well, at least I got a DB fix.

Yes, I guess I could just drive over to Blockbuster & see if I can find it, but I'm making monthly payments to Netflix, so it just bugs me! I'll call them tomorrow.

I find that it depends what player you're instantly viewing from. I have a x360 and it works fine for me. However, I know that between the PS3 and the WII there are a lot of issues still with the Netflix instant streaming.

Hmm, interesting, makes me wonder if it's the Blu-Ray then.

Worked just fine for me. I loaded Smashed on the computer. At my job, I have internet, at home, I do not. At my job, I don't have speakers or a working sound card... >.<

it's definitely not the blu-ray. You're PS3 is fine lol. It's definitely netflix. See, the instant streaming was made exclusively for x360, and since Microsoft bought the patent to it, they had to make it a different way to use it on the other systems, which means downgrading it considerably. I'm guessing that's why so many people have trouble with Netflix on the PS3. In any case, you should still contact them again and make sure they can fix the problem

I've never had a problem with netflix on my ps3.
Yep, I watched Hell's Bells yesterday and Normal Again today.

You say you're watching on the PS3? I'm watching on my computer.

No, I'm watching on a Blu-Ray player. I've had trouble from time to time, but not like this. I'll call them tomorrow, and also watch on my computer. I just hate sitting in my office chair- definitely not as comfy as the couch! And I can't watch it on my laptop, it's work-related & I can't download the necessary programs.

It always seems to work for me, unless my internet is slow. What I do is turn my monitor around and reposition the speakers so I can watch Buffy and sit on the couch.

My computer is in another room. 🙁 I think msfantastico is probably right. I'm going to check it again this morning, then call Netflix.

It's working this morning, yippee! They must've fixed it. Now I just need to kick my 9 yr old off the TV, heh-heh....

Just to let you know, there are at least a couple of web-sites that Net-Flix Employee's USE to post at to help people out.
It was alway's a better way to get a problem resolved there rather than calling (because nine times out of ten you get someone who either passes the buck or simply doesn't care)
If you post the problems you have been experiencing on one of these sites, your chances of getting helped by a fellow Buffy/Angel Fan will be greater.
(although, since Net-Flix started using these web-sites and their employees posting on them as an excuse to fire them...I'm not certain as to whether or not any still post there!)
Good luck!

Yeah, and I do stream mine through our Wii... I notice when I stream eps on my computer I don't usually have issues.

I use my 360, and the only problems I have ever had has been internet related. Or when netflix was down all together. Btw this is how I got hooked on Buffy again, streaming through netflix.😀

Yep, me too. I started watching again on LOGO, but I got tired of how many times they replayed episodes (they're still on seasons 4 & 5!). Then we discovered that we could stream Netflix through our Blu-Ray. Now I'm watching all kinds of things on Blu-Ray.

LOGO either plays Season 2,4, or 5 all the time. It gets so old.
