Okay, so we're going to give you guys the choice.

The modification that makes the drop down at the bottom of the page change the style you have set in your edit options (instead of just changing your skin temporarily) is a little glitchy.

We can either remove it (and then the numbers next to each style will not reflect the styles people are actually using), or keep it with the glitches.

Majority rules.

Yea, I'm not entirely sure what you mean here boss lady...but if we have glitches I vote to get rid of them. Is the skin chooser thing at the bottom of the home page playing up? If so I'd stick with skin choice via user CP.
 
if it's messing up and causing problems, then i vote to get rid of it. there's no use having something if it's gonna make life more difficult.
 
Well, normally, the style chooser shows how many people are using each style. But it takes its numbers from whatever you have chosen in Edit Options, not what you've selected from the drop down at the bottom left of the page.

We installed a modification a while ago that takes the numbers from what you've selected from the drop down. So it's actually what styles everyone is using.

But for some people, the style changes randomly sometimes. The only way to make it stop doing that, is to remove it.
 
I don't have any problem with it on my cpu at home but at work it does switch up on me. It doesn't really affect me but if it's a problem for other people I vote take it off.
 
If people are having trouble with it, and they don't want to deal with it, it's fine with me to remove it.

I've never had any problems, and personally I like choosing my style at the bottom quickly.

But I'm just one person.
 
I vote get rid of the glithches too, i have no end of trouble choosing astyle and then logging off going back the enxt day to find it set to default again!
So take it away Buffy Summers!
 
hehe, i didnt even know what those numbers meant! :silly: anyway, thanks for the second explanation Buffy Summers. like the others said, if its causing problems, than its not worth it.
 
Yeah, I have to change my style every single time I log onto the boards (whether I've changed in the drop down menu or my options, before logging out), so I vote for the old system..
 
I like the board the way it is and wouldn't wanna change anything at all.

I know it's causing problems but some of the styles I wouldn't even have looked at if it weren't for the glitch.

Oh well. Majority rules.

I agree. I like it the way it is. But hey small changes never hurt..some of us:)
Personally, I feel it should be removed. The entire point of having different skins is to suite other people and their tastes. If a glitch is going to change the skin you decided to use, what's the point of keeping the drop-down menu? Quite frankly, I think people care less about who's using which skin rather than their own personal preference staying in tact.
