Summer Camp?

hey, I was wondering if anyone here went to any kind of a summer camp thing and if anyone had any interesting storys to tell???...
 
I'll be on my way to camp for a week soon, but I'm going against my will. It's a Christian camp for a week that my dad is making me go to in Pennsylvania. Obviously the fact that I'm an atheist has no effect on him still being a jerk.😡
 
ohhh, that sucks. but maybe you'll have fun anyway? I went to a christian camp this summer and it wasn't that bad, but then i'm christian.....good luck!
 
I went to a YMCA camp on Catalina Island this year and last 2 years its a 13-18 year old camp and its SOOOOOOO FUN we sleep in Vilas right on the beach and its like non stop fun! there is archery, swiming in the ocean, tubing....... THE COOLEST skits at camp fire and fun singing in the dining hall cute boys new friends...... (the list can go on for ever) its sooooo modern, not like a wilderness camp.........FOX is the bomb, I go with the Anaheim YMCA..... there every june for a week and its the highlight of my summer I LOVE IT AND I CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! LOL CAMP FOX IS THE BOMB!!!! LOL
 
wow, that sounds really fun!!! I go to a camp that is a little more "woodsy" then that, we stay in cabins w/ no lights or plumbing or something in them. There are bathrooms w/ real toliets and running water, but they're kind of gross. I love going there, there are all these different "themed" camps...like sailing camp, canoe camp, bike camp, drama camp...and other things. It's so much fun!! We have campfires everynight and i make so many new friends!! I can't wait to go back next summer!!!
 
In 6th grade I went to science camp and a teacher nearly got his head blown off when he decided to play a prank on us kids one night and dressed as a bear while further masking any human qualities with a bush and a tape recorder. I think a few kids actually wet themselves. (No. I wasn't one of them.😉 )
 
I went to a riding camp for a week (not sleep-away, just a day camp). It was GREAT! Everybody was assigned one horse who they were responsible for all of his/her care during the week. Mine was an ex racehorse who was a little nutty, he wanted to go galloping over all the jumps instead of trotting or cantering over them at a reasonable pace. I think we bonded a little 🙂 It was really fun.
 
cool, I always wanted to go to a horse camp but im scared of them cuz when i was younger (4 or 5) i was kicked and broke a ribb.....so Ive always been scared lol
 
can i ask exactly what a summer camp is? i mean what is it's exact purpose, we dont really have them over here in aus so i have no idea on what there for?

evafaithful- a summer camp is just where you do away, ususally for a week at a campground type thing and you just hang out w/ other kids your age. you make lots of good friends and stuff, get it? there isn't really a purpose it's just fun
 
uh i get ya willow03, lol it's a pointless thing you do for fuuuuun to jump and play and all that stuff .... huh, sounds boring to me, i have no sense of fun lately
 
at my job...we went to this camp for the teens....for one night...
lol...i had to chaperone all night....with no older chicks... i was hella tired in the morning...hella tired....i falkin walked like a zombie in the morning...

lol...horsecamp sounds cool...
lol @ doyle and fivebyfive....i can tell fivebyfive is going to be the cool cynical chick at the camp...if she's hott...she'll get allot of attention from the good christian boys...
 
🙁 sadly i've never been to a camp! not even a day camp cause every summer i always go with my dad on his semi truck and we go all over the place and i've always wanted to go to a camp at least once but since my parents are split up i have to spend the summer with the one i dont see all year now its gonna be my mom, So nope no summer camp for me 🙁.
 
lol @ Soulgasm.. thanks for the support. The camp actually wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. It got way better towards the end, and it just shocks me how many hotties could possibly attend Christian Camp. If I could actually steal my brother's scanner and learn how to hook it up, I'd love to show you all a picture or two of my experience. All the kids at this camp wanted to be there, and everytime they asked me if I was having fun I'd tell them, 'dude, no way.'... then they all crapped themselves.

hahaha...that sounds cool 101..does your dad let you take the wheel sometimes...

that reminds me of that movie...over the top...lol...that movie was so weird...
