Summertime TV watching- 2011

With many of our favorite current shows winding down, what will you be watching this summer?

I plan on continuing Game of Thrones and Doctor Who. I also want to watch the new seasons of In Plain Sight, True Blood, Covert Affairs, Drop Dead Diva, & Rescue Me. Among the new shows premiering this summer I'm going to try out Necessary Roughness (the one with Marc Blucas). Hmm, I know I've missed some things, but these plus the numerous shows I need to watch in my Netflix queue- well, I just don't think I'll have time for them all!

As far as Whedon shows go, I'm doing an ATS re-watch, and I'd like to watch Dollhouse for a second time.

I have no idea to tell you the truth. After Glee finishes I will be lost in a sea of rubbish television until I can find something decent to replace it. Desperate Housewives is getting good so there's that. I might get into Castle and Dollhouse as well, been meaning to look into those for a while. Not having access to a TV a lot of the time makes it hard to know what's on these days.

Once all my shows are over I plan on watching some summer shows like
True Blood, Nine lives of Chloe King and of course Pretty little liars.

I am going to use this summer to watch series so I can be caught up for the premiers in the fall some of those are Supernatural, Fringe, re-watch Bones, Gossip Girl (Hopefully lol I go kind of slow on that one), Weeds and Breaking Bad.

I plan on watching some shows I haven't watched as well like Alias, Lost, and Prison Break so far I am going to be a busy bee.

I'll be watching Drop Dead Diva and In Plain Sight (and probably a lot of USA network shows, lol). And I'll be catching up on Doctor Who, Torchwood, Pretty Little Liars, Fringe, and Nikita. Maybe I'll finally finish my Buffy re-watch too.

I think we are behind America in regard to some shows. Blue Bloods, V, No Ordinary Family, The Event and Glee are all coming to an end soon so I will finish watching those shows. Currently watching Game of Thrones which has just airing over here. On season 3 of Dexter also.

I pretty much only watch television on DVD's. I'll finish my first rewatch of BtVS and we'll finish Angel (eventually - I have to coordinate with the DH for that). I'll also be watching Dexter, Friday Night Lights, The West Wing, Chuck, and Boston Legal. I'd like to do a Firefly rewatch too.

I'm planning to mostly read this summer. I have SO many books on my list, and plenty of books to reread. But I also want to watch Doctor Who. 🙂

Totally! It's a really good summer show and it's a lot of fun. 😀 Depends on what you like though, of course. It's a fun lawyer show and it's on Lifetime, so that probably gives you an idea of who its target audience is lol. I think Jed Whedon might've written a couple of episodes too, so that's cool.

The only things I'm avidly watching right now is Supernatural and Glee and trying to catch up on The Vampire Diaries. When they end, I'll probably continue with my Supernatural re-watch, and then S6 should be airing on UK TV sometime soon, so I'll re-watch that.

S4 of Leverage starts in June, so I can't wait for that, but I think that's about it. I might give Unnecessary Roughness a shot, but I'm not promising anything.

Well when I get home, I'm going to finish 3rd Rock from the Sun. Then I'm thinking I'm going to do a Doctor Who re-watch. I'll prbably do Torchwood too because I love it so much. Then I was thinking of FINALLY doing BSG. And I should finish my Veronica Mars second run and also finish my Buffy season 3 re-watch. I'll probably do more... I watch fast. I'm thinking I'l watch as things come.

Oh and Drop Dead Diva is a summer MUST. 🙂.

"Burn Notice" starts it new season in a few days, and I'm really hoping that "Lot Girl" come back for a second season. "Human Target," I'm afraid, i gone forever. Hopefully, there will be some new summer shows that we will like. If not, it's reruns of "Castle," and I may finally undertake re-watching the entire "Highlander" series again. I've tried that before, but I've never managed to get through the entire 6 seasons without something happening to make me stop.

Look at all this Drop Dead Diva love! Really I thought it was just going to be a fluff show, but I was pleasantly surprised at its depth.

Yes, via Netflix I am only on the 2nd season of Fringe and the 3rd season of Bones. I've never seen Castle, Glee, or Doctor Who before the current season (except an ep here or there). And I'd like to watch Torchwood & BSG as well. I only saw the beginning of Prison Break, so that'd be cool to watch the rest. I've only seen bits & pieces of True Blood, but I've started to read the novels so I guess I need to go back and watch the first seasons.

That's a lot of TV watching! Probably too much- I plan to do a lot of reading, too.

Is Highlander available via Netflix? I've started watching eps whenever they happen to be on TV, I think of my dad a lot when I'm watching. 🙂

I don't mind long breaks. Give me time to find new shows and rewatch stuff that I don't have time with otherwise. In a way it's a good thing that me and summer don't match since it means that I spend most time inside.

Leverage and possibly Psych (haven't checked when it airs) to start with.

The latest season of House, the whole of Farscape (if I enjoy it), rewatch of Battlestar Galactica and The West Wing would be nice. I'm sure there's more but that's what I remember on top of my head.

Wow...there are soooo many shows that I want to watch this summer. Most importantly, I'll have to watch Firefly and Dollhouse. But after that....I don't know. There are just soooo many shows that people talk about on here, and they all sound awsome. Any sugestions for good ones that I could watch over the summer?

Yeah.... I'm a sucker for all the talent based reality shows. This show actually DOES have talent though! 🙂

So I've added 30 Days to my list. My mom and her husband really want me to watch it, so I am. Hopefully, that will show them I watch what they want me to watch so they should watch what I want them to watch: Buffy and Veronica Mars.

Once I'm done with Psych, I'll be doing just like last year and check out a couple shows pilots to pick the next series I'll watch. Right now I got... 24, Prison Break, Dexter, Doctor Who and The Wire. I might add one or two pilots if I get some recommendations. 😉
