A summer thread. 😀

We're getting a real heatwave in Scotland right now, and I know it's hot across Europe too. Really warm and sunny. I'm not really a fan of sunbathing though, since the sun doesn't like my skin.

Is it hot where you are? Do you like sunbathing? Had any summer BBQ's? (Hmm, now I want a burger.) Or if you have any pics you want to show... (sw)
 
I gotta admit, I'm loving it! It's hot and humid...it reminds me of home!

The only thing I wish was that I could actually wander around rather than just being stuck in my flat.

I've been wanting a BBQ in Kelvingrove for like....ever...well since the last heat and sun spell went through about a month ago. Who's in? 😉

Since I consider everything about 21°C too hot and it's 28°C outside, yes, I'm practically melting and sweaty and could take a shower once I stepped out of it. That's why I've also been in my room all day, which fortunately is in the basement so not too hot here.
To top that off, I'm going to visit a friend tomorrow which means I'm going to ride a train that's got the air conditioning turned on so high that you're freezing inside (seriously. These people don't seem to know a good middle) and get a sunstroke once you step outside and after that I'm going to spend an hour in a bus with no air conditioning AT ALL.
But on the bright side - my friend has a lake nearby. I really love swimming but I don't like public swimming pools. There's usually a nice breeze which makes the weather almost nice.

I still want winter and spring back.

Around 30 degrees which by my standards are way too hot. It's a good thing my apartment isn't like a sauna.... As long as the sun is up I belong in the shadows under a tree while feeling the breeze.

Let's see. I get very sunburnt and fever if I avoid the sun as much as possible. You guess how much I sunbath. 😉

^ I feel with you, Mumrik. This heat wave here atm is killing me, even with the blinds half-way down all the time and the windows partly open over the day and all open at night, I can hardly get my flat to cool down under 25°C, even though it's on the ground floor (don't even wanna know how my neighbors' flats upstairs are)... and anything above 20° is too hot for me. Can't wait for autumn to start.

I live upstairs. Very funny let me tell you. Had 29.8 today but that was in the room with the computer which I guess helps heat things up a little.
The heat right now is reminding me why I love winter so much. 😉 And I've never had a garden, since I've always lived in a flat, so I love the chance to have a BBQ whenever I can.

The highlight for summer is my Walt Disney World 2 week trip and a few nights in NYC! =D

Anyway, it's been raining all week. =/
 
It's way too hot in Belgium. I sunbath not too much, I have other things to do. Although I might try to get browner soon (sw). I didn't have any BBQ's yet, maybe my grandparents might do one, I'll see 😀.
 
I live in the midwest where it's FREEZING for 6 months (it was below 0 a little TOO many times this past winter) and nice and hot for 3 months, so I'm thoroughly enjoying the summer! I love laying out in the sun! The hotter the better in my opinion.
 
For a very long time it's been REALLY hot and humid like a freaking jungle. So I went swimming nearly every day for two weeks at the lake. 🙂

But lately it's been really cold. >:|

It's been really hot down here by the coast! Haven't made it to the beach yet though which is lame cos I love the sea...even if its scummy! 😛

I've had sunstroke twice already, I get it really easily and don't drink enough when its hot and I'm at work.

BBQs are the way forward, I love them. My boyfriend has a massive garden and BBQ so we have them quite a lot. As long as there's plenty of drink and you cook the food til it's black, you can't go wrong!
 
I'll trade somebody my weather for theirs. Right now it's kind of chilly with a lovely overcast. 🙂 Just give me some sun!
 
I've been off work all week and the weather's been brilliant, but I don't do sunbathing as I'm practically an albino.

No BBQs, or at least nobody has invited me to one, but I live in hope!

Tomorrow, if the weather holds out, I'm off to the seaside to sample the local hostelries 🙂

Although I do enjoy the BBQ's and long evenings.

It hit 100 degrees here last week and now its in the 50-60s.
 
Right now my living room is at 28, way too hot for me. And I'd love to be in the sunshine topping up my tan but instead i'm potty training my daughter lol.
 
Okay, for a while I was really on board with this summer thing, digging the high temperatures and everything, but now I got my first mosquitobites. Total suckitude!

But what sucks even more is that this week, when I have all my exams, the weather is really hot and everything, and next week, when I'm on vaation, it's gonna be down to 17 and raining again. Of course.

I like the sunbathing btw, it's not like I tan, but it's fun anyway.
