I don't know about everyone else, but I thought Sunday was hilarious! Her attitude was kick ass and I love how she just shakes her head and says "freshmen..." hahhaa Ok, yeah she's a major bitch for ruining Buffy's Class Protector Award and hurting her arm, but I just think she's an interesting character for a vamp and I like how she's a villian, but still funny in a smartass kind of way. Example:

FatGirlVamp: Does this sweater make me look fat?
Sunday: No, the fact that you're fat makes you look fat. That sweater just makes you look purple.

Anyways does anyone else feel this way? Or not? 'Cause I wouldn't have minded if Joss decided to keep her around for a few more episodes.

She was alright for the time she was on the show, but to keep her around, I think she might've gotten pretty annoying. But, I did like her sense of humor. The quote you posted was great. 🙂

I loved Sunday. She kinda reminded me of a female version of Spike. I would have liked to see her in more episodes. I also love that quote. It is hilarious.

I agree. In some Buffy fanfictions that she has appeared in, the author writes her as Spikes Childe.

She was quite funny but keeping her around for longer, no thanks. She would have annoyed me too much although it would have been funny for her and Spike to meet, trading insults ect.

Also, great quote. 😉

ya she was like the new Cordelia for Freshmen. It wouldve been nice to see her stick around for a few more episodes.

And there was talk about if their were more vampires like Sunday(like a clan: Monday,Tuesday, etc..)

Haha wow... I can see that happening, but in a totally comedic way. Like Monday, Tuesday, etc would all be stupid fledglings and Sunday would roll her eyes at them and get frustrated.
Sunday was definitely a breath of a fresh air and I think Joss was right to make her the opening baddie for season 1.

I agree with you. I'd have like to see her in at least one more epi. But I also agree that if she became a redundant character, she would have become annoying.
Or maybe she could have become the new "Spike's girlfriend?" (she would have protect him since he has that chip... 🙁 )

It's a pity they didn't choose to use her as the season's Little Bad. The evil character you think is going to be the major baddie of the year (like Spike, Mr Trick, Maggie Walsh, The Trio) until the storyline develops and you really see where it is going.

Sunday had a lot more potential than being a one episode threat, i reckon.

definately. i loved sunday. i thought she seemed like too big a character to die straight away. especially if she was as strong and scary as she was made out to be. i'd have thought she'd have lived a little longer.

but i guess that was the point. to show how buffy can still beat her even though everything was new and stressful. she could still beat the bad guy. no matter how bad said guy was.

Okay I can't believe I'm going to say this considering that everyone loves Sunday so far, but I really didn't like her. She annoyed me! I also hated the way she treated Buffy and her arrogance... grrrr!

Please don't give me bad Karma for this but in my opinion Sunday just made me love Buffy more. I was very thankful when she was staked and I just didn't get her! I mean come on people Sunday and her gang were sick! The killed people then made it look like they had left college! Not a storyline I enjoyed.

how else would she treat buffy? shes a vampire. spike treated buffy worse yet everyone loves him. hell, willow treated her worse than sunday did. at least suday had an excuse. vampire!

Yeah but spikes storylines were gripping! Plus he has always had an endearing side to him. Sunday didn't! There was nothing about her personality that I liked! Spike was nasty but because of Dru you saw a different side to him, Sunday was nasty because she could be. She was the steriotypical Prom Queen turned Vampire. A nasty piece of work with hangers on!

I completely agree!!
i would never think of sunday as a prom queen. now harmony was prom queen-turned-vampire. sunday would be outcast/evil bitch-turned-vampire. i liked her. she was real. some people are like that. wether yuo like them or not isnt the point. besides clearly there was something likeable about her. look at the thread. she had a lot of fans!

Fair enough she has a lot of fans but i'm not one of them, I detested her! I cringe everytime I see that episode and I get really annoyed with her for her treatment of Buffy! Just because lots of other people like her doesn't mean I have to! I don't like her you guys do so what this is a discussion thread, where people come to discuss their opinions and if you read my first post you would know that I said that this was my opinion and I took into account other peoples.

ok, ok, calm down. i was just making a point. much like you were. i wasnt saying you couldnt dislike her i was just saying a lot of people do and defending my reasons for liking her.

If Sunday had stuck around you guys think that they could've made her Spike's girlfriend instead of Harmony? That would have been intresting to watch.

Hmmm, now that would have been interesting to see. That would have been a totally different dynamic (no way would Sunday have allowed Spike to push her around the way Harmony did) and may even have led to a different outlook for Spike throughout seasons four and five.

Having said that, i'm a big Harm fan too and i'm glad she was brought back for that particular storyline. Otherwise we may never have seen her again after Graduation Day.

Spike and Sunday wouldnt have worked. Spike seems to like to be the dominant one (even in the case of buffy. she seemed to let him do what he wanted and go along wiht it). Sunday was too much like spike in that respect. wouldnt have lasted more than one episode i dont think. one of them would have killed the other.

Hm, they might've ended up killing eachother but I still think them together could've been interesting. I'm not so sure it wouldn't have worked, I think it might have.. Would actually have loved to see that..
