Come to think of it, Gunn loved the ballet too. How about a choreographer! I can just see him, leaping around a stage "Fame" style.

Mmm, Gunn in tights.....*runs off to la la land to frolic with Tights-Wearing Gunn*

Ok, I'm back! I always liked the idea of Cordelia's "Caerer Week" picks: Personal Shopper or Motivational Speaker. (10 Ways to a More Annoying You!)

And Xander, definitely construction. He just seems to like it so much!

Anya would be a KICK purchasing agent. For anything. She would never EVER spend more money that she absolutely had to. Or a financial counselor...remember her chat about online trading with Tara? First money, then money money money! That could be her slogan.

Dawn, I'm thinking Watcher. Outside of the BUffy-verse, research assistant (always fun, blech) or a forensic...person of some kind...good solid detective work and wearing high heels more often.

Tara...hmmm...I completely agree with the stay-at-home mom idea...I can see her adopting a whole mess of kids from like, Cambodia and Russia and China and loving them to peices.

Willow...definitely something professorial. She really seemed to like Sociology...she would love to be able to teach and research at the same time.

I just plain can't imagine Spike or Angel in a job. I can't do it! They're too...vampirey!

But Buffy...aaaahhh Buffy. I want her to be a history major. I don't know what kind of job she would have, but she MUST be a history major...mostly because with TWO exceptions, in Season Five, when she's being a good student, every single time they mention class, it's a history class. The Crusades, the French Revolution, World War I, sounds like a Euro Survey to me....sounds like fun too...And remember Season 3, when she's trying to get back in school, Homecoming: "Contemporary American Heroes from Amelia Earhart to Maya Angelou. The class that changed my life?" I think Buffy likes history!

Two of her other classes are apparently English classes (Hunchback of Notre Dame and poetry, so maybe a European lit class and a poetry class) Either way, she's apparently a humanities kind of person...

Now with "Tabula Rasa", Buffy named herself Joan. Is she Joan of Arc reincarnated? Or was perhaps Joan of Arc actually a Slayer as well as a war hero?

Maybe she has such an instinctive grasp of history because of her Slayer dreams. She's remembering all the pivotal events in Slayer history, and history just generally. One of my favorite subjects (history), yes indeed.

Maybe she'd be a good student of, compiler of vampire/slayer relationships, lore throughout the ages. Has that psychic advantage over even the Watchers. I know the dreams are unpredictable, vague. But maybe she could hone that skill.

Buffy's not very good with technical abstractions, science, math. But she's constantly grappling with moral, philosophical issues. That, combined with her strong general history abilties and you've got the potential for a brilliant sociology career.

Good point about history in connection with the Slayer dreams. I think they explored that in one of the books.
Now, If Willow and Buffy both decided to pursue sociology, they'd be an unstoppable bookwriting team. Or just a brilliant research team. All that knowledge of teen/demon interaction, Slayer/vamp interaction, the pluses and minuses of witchcraft, it's impact on people. Thanks to Giles expertise, Willow's research, Buffy's dreams and field experience...their collective knowledge of history, morality, human, demon psychology...they'd be on the best seller list in no time"”with some new branch of sociology.

They're a little too close to the action right now, but given a few more years of perspective...

I know this is morphing into bizarre fanfiction now. But I just think it would be neat if someone actually tried to write Buffy and Willow's pop sociology book"”a sociological analysis of the Buffyverse, in Buffy and Willow's own words.
