That Brissett is younger and pretty good too. So even if Luck doesn't come back still had a young good QB.

I just can't believe he'd do that. He had already had them hire three members of his staff. So those assistants went there, took the job, under the assumption he was going there. And he backed out on them too.

That is the conventional wisdom. After the reported tiff that he, Belichick and Kraft had regarding trading away ALL of their backups that's a distinct possibility. There were even few reporters, around week 12ish, that said Belichick might even go to another team.
