Super Powers

Okay, if you could have any super power (flying, X-ray vision, etc.) what would it be? The reason I'm asking is that me and a friend have been bickering over what the best super power would be. I keep saying that it's the power of invisibility, but he thinks it's the ability to freeze time ... Aye, aye, aye. 🙄

Anyway, what would you choose?
 
id love to be able to be able to read minds because id love to know what people think of me
 
tough question. i've debating it for years, just in case, that the highly unlikely situation would arise and i would be given a chance to get the power.
would the power of a deity be an acceptable answer? *looks all hopeful* that power would be nice.

but if not...hm....time freezing might be helpful in tense situations but....so would blinking/shimmering. no need for car, pretty environment here i blink! minds...that'd be scary...invisible...might get stuck somewhere bad or...something...i dunno...i could drive ppl crazy tho. that is good...not for them, but for me. telekinsis....i'd break something or do something not right.
everything has ups and downs...

but in the end...i think if i couldn't have the deity thing, i'd go for...shapeshifting, into anything. and hold the pain. not that you get it, but don't give it. some cultures/legend myth things have it painful, some don't, some have goop. i'd like to be goopless and low on pain. if i couldn't get deity.

That is one power that you would definetly want controll over though. Because remember how buff. Thought that it would be cool when she got the aspect of the demon, because she could cheat, find out what people thought about her. And It all backfired. The stuff people thought of her... Ickky! Well anyhow the power that I wish I had is actually something that some people are said to have. I wish I had telekiniesis, the ability to move things with my mind. That or I wish that I could move at lightning speeds. That way I would be able to actually be able to solo on my guitar, That is the numero uno thing I need to work on on my guitar.
 
LOL! I love these threads...I've debated over the years as well...when I was little I just wanted to fly...over the years I favored all of the basics at one point...and finally rested on the one that would be perfect in my mind...the power to heal. That's what I'd want.

When i was little I had a huge fixation with being able to fly. It was always my number one wish. I started watching that Peter animated series only because they could all fly....

Now? I still think it would be amazing to be able to fly, but I could probably accomplish more with either invisibility or the power to freeze time (I agrre that's what it comes down to). You could find out so much with invisibility, know whats going on with everything... But with the power to freez time, you could alter things... Like (yes, I have no scruples) tests and fighting and all sorts of things... Gosh, I'm gonna have to think about this more.
 
Lol, I guess I'm still lil coz I still wanna fly. That's just my big dream (connected to Peter Pan? hmm maybe, ::rolf:: )

But actually it's so hard to choose only one power. I'd like to have the powers you all quoted coz they are all great.
Healing, Invisibility, telepathy, reading minds, ubiquity, gosh, they are all so interesting !!! 😛

That's a good one because it's one power but it's also many. That's what I would go for... or if not I'd go with the basic telekiniesis. I'm lazy. Plus I always wanted to just think something and have it happen.
 
I would *love* to be able to alter time, you know, fast-forward, pause, re-wind, start, whatever, lol...
I'd have to the power of my VCR!

Temporial Statis 😉 Freezing time! That just be so cool to be able to freeze time in the middle of class or something! lol
 
I'd want the ability to heal myself, illnesses included. That power would come in handy right now, LoL.
 
Anybody watch Charmed? You know how Piper blows things up? That's what I wanna do. That my superpower- the ability to blow things up! lol...im an idiot, I know...

I'd be cool to be telekinetic. I would never have to move off the couch I could make everything move to me with my mind...
 
The ability to wield Sorcery. At advanced levels, one can pretty much do everything that everyone here has mentioned with magic.
