Supernatural... One Tree Hill... AND Smallville get another season!

i liked smallville when i watched it (seasons 5 and 6). stopped watching it after season 6 because i hated how the episodes always got spaced out by other programs (i.e. no episodes shown in march because of the ncaa march madness). if i watch a season, i want to see it every week damn it!

Sweet! I love all three of these shows. I've been sick all day long and I've caught up on Smallville (Doomsday - freaking awesome) and One Tree Hill, not as good as Dawson's Creek, but for a Basketball fan it's fun.
Supernatural - SWEET! Those winchester dudes are freaking stellar!

sweet. another dude who at least kind of likes OTH. I'll admit, it was the basketball that got me hooked. And then.. it kind of dwindled to the background. But I still love it.
It doesnt appear as though the rumours are really true regarding One Tree Hill loseing cast members:

If you keep tabs on the One Tree Hill fandom, you may have heard some scary rumors over the past couple of days. Yes, the CW ordered a seventh season of the series, but if you are to believe the Internets, it would be without the presence of stars Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton.

Could the show really go on without them? Here's what we're hearing...

Rumors of the actors leaving the series have been greatly exaggerated. While it's true that the CW ordered a new season without having signed contracts with CMM and Burton, it turns out that's because the CW doesn't have signed contracts (yet) with any of the OTH talent.

Now, it's certainly possible that CMM and Burton could leave (there's no definite news either way), but overall, you can rest your pretty little heads about this issue, as we've been told by a reliable insider, "Obviously, most if not all [of the castmembers] are coming back."

Well, since you almost never watch it, you don't see the story. There IS one. It's called Leyton. With a tid bit of Naley and Brulian thrown in

and 90210. Which, though I may regret saying this later, I am utterly fascinated by, and can't seem to NOT watch new episodes..

well I did watch haft of the season of OTH and the only thing I really liked was Brook story line with Sam but beside that Naley is still the old same and Leyton, like the story of Lucas with Peyton has already been done, like three billion time. So I do know the story, and I will keep watching if I have the time but what I mean is that it's getting a bit old and every good thing has an end, maybe it's time that they change things a little or end the show while it's still good, last thing I want to see is see one of my favorite show get really boring and repetitive.

Now the 90210 I agree with

Isn't it about time Smallville said goodbye? I used to watch this show up until about season 5 and then it got really silly, there dragging out Clarks early years too much now. Can't we just see him be Superman and let it end on a good note. But its good to see Supernatural has got another season, never watched the show but Im intrigued to see whats it like now.

smallville Officially Back Next Season

According to Entertainment Weekly's TV guru, Michael Ausiello, Smallville is among the shows officially announced as being picked up for another Season come this fall by the CW. This season has seen steady ratings, and good buzz amongst fans with Doomsday as a major villain and more DCU guest stars including the Legion of Superheroes and the coming appearance of Zatanna. Two of the four current producers of the show are leaving to helm a remake of Melrose Place (I wish I was kidding).
Supernatural, Smallville 1-7 's genre sibling on the network, also got renewed for a new season.

I just watched an episode of Smallville. Haven't seen the show in over 3 years. Was pretty good. Even though I had no idea what was going on. 🙂 But Lana was all mature, and kinda Cordy like. There was Braniac, and Doomsday, and the legion of superheros, which made my inner fan boy, do a snoopy dance.
Might start watching it again, so kinda glad it's coming back now. Tom Welling does look bored though. I think he wants it to end. 🙂

Ugh! Seriously?! I'm STILL bitter that One Tree Hill is still on the air and Veronica Mars isn't. Thats all i have to say, if i go on there will be lots and lots of cursing and that isn't allowed here

Uhm, except for the fact that Veronica Mars was cancelled because of the Pussy Cat Dolls, and nothing to do with One Tree Hill.

Honestly, the PCD lasted ONE more season. Veronica would probably STILL be on if the CW would have been smart. Dawn's a dumbass.

Well OBVIOUSLY the Pussycat Dolls show was sheer and utter trash and yeah I'm pissed about that too, that VM was cancelled and that's what what used to fill the timeslot, but it wasn't cancelled directly because of the Pussycat Dolls. I meant I'm bitter that One Tree Hill is still on the air because when Dawn went through the CW shows and decided which to keep and which to toss for the season she renewed OTH but not VM?! Ratings for OTH weren't that much higher at all... I just can't wrap my head around it. Just my opinion but on its very best day OTH couldn't dream of matching VM's quality on its worst day. Yes Dawn Ostroff was a dumbass.

Yay Supernatural renewal!!

now if only the tv station that shows it here in Oz would put it back on....they've left us hanging for months now!

Another season of One Tree Hill? Is that really necessary? At one time I really loved the show but that was about 4 seasons ago...it's all abit too ridiculous for me now. I catch and ep here and there where as before I would be waiting all week for it.

Hey, at least we're getting another season of Gossip Girl. 😉 That's all I want.

Last time I watched Smallville, I watched it because of James. This series has gotten tired a long time ago, and I'm surprised the WB don't see it. I think it's crazy giving it another season.

But in recent years, it's shown to be a powerhouse among the targeted age-group. Beating the god-forsaken Gossip Girl quite a number of times.

Also, Pussycat Dolls kicked VM's ass in ratings and THAT'S why it was cancelled. It had nothing to do with OTH. Had Pussycat Dolls bombed the first year, and Rob not come up with that awful OTH-time-jump-copy-cat idea, I guarantee we'd be watching VM season 5 right now.

Obviously you haven't been watching this season because it's gotten pretty freakin good. I feel like I'm talking in circles..

I've given up on trying to convince others of smallville..in fact I dont think ive even defended smallville at all in this thread.

Out of all the seasons of smallville, ive enjoyed the last couple the most. Before it was cheasy freak of the week shows and endless Clark and Lana will they-wont they action.

These last few have all been about Clark actually showing signs of taking on the role of Superman...something far more fascinating for me to watch. The fact that they got the renewal means I'm happy, and i'm happy to let others dismiss it since....I've got another year of it to enjoy anyway!

The problem is 4-6 years of Smallville was enough to make alot of us not want to watch the remaining shows and now we're out of the loop.

I know I cannot be bothered catching up because I don't trust I will enjoy it.

I LOVED Smallville back in the day and watched it religiously until my job interfered with my Thursday nights!! I lost touch for about 2-3 years lol.. I just saw previews the other day though and apparently Clark is out now??? Big stuff.
