Superstar...Jonathan?

Uhh, that was kind of the point? It was Jonathan's fantasy come true after all.

Really, for a guy who never was respected or was never even paid too much attention, who wanted to kill himself it is pretty understandable that he wanted to be the best in and of everything and be admired by all.

Au contraire, I liked it. Jonathan, who is so not among my fav characters, was very funny and interesting in this episode - it was his 'bright hour'.
Also, Buffy was so trying, so confused... When I watched this episode for the first time I went: 'What's up with Buffy? Ain't she supposed to be a 'superhero' already? What's with theese wrong moves?", but then.... Mmmm... And Anya.... 🙂
On the other side, The Monster was pretty cheesy. Well, maybe he reflected real Jonathan's pathetic lifestyle. Don't know.

Face it, the "Superstar" was quite entertaining episode. It had "its own fun". I do include it in my rewatching list.

I liked this episode so much I wrote a paper about it. Still waiting to hear back from Slayage about publication. And, yes, at least half of the point was that Jonathan was a Mary Sue. 🙂

I liked superstar alot. It seems to be a love it or hate it ep. I loved how different it was, so much fun. I kinda like Adam too.

It's interesting to juxtapose that with Superman's truest fantasy being to live as an average farmer with a wife and kids (For the Man Who Has Everything - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

As soon as I heard Jonathan was the this great warrior I knew some sorta demon had to be involved. I think this episode is somewhat amusing just based off that that fact. However, it wasn't one of my favorite episodes by any means. The episode is good for what it is, but it wasn't anything special.

Jonathan needs to get a life.
This episode was far from special.
I love how they didn't really bring out his character until now.

I have never been a jonathan fan and never will so this episode is not one of my favourites, it has some good moments though love the whole scooby obsession with him especially anya and her moaning lol. Not the best but not bad for an episode based on a character thats not a scooby.

That's exactly what he was trying to do. Poor Jonathan was surrounded by incredible people and he was normal. The best he could think of to do was "cheat" by making himself super awesome with magic.

I agree with that.
But I think that Jonathan is less than normal.

Poor kid. Having to be a stereotypically "total loser nerd" in a town full of witches, demons, werewolves, vampires, and Slayers. Makes it that much worse.

I actually liked the episode. I thought it was some fun spin of the usual kind of episode. The only thing I didn't like was how indecisive Buffy was. She could have been herself, and still made the episode work

I liked it.
I don't think it would have worked in any other season, it just felt like it had the right sence of humour for this season.
I do like Jonathan, and he's been in the show for so long I think he deserved his own episode 🙂
