Talented is talented, Faldor. Kelly, Ruben and Fantasia didn't need to be "manufactured," they were just great singers. But Fantasia is definitely the best. I'm sure if you heard her sing, your opinion of the show would change.

Who says Idol contestants haven't worked hard? Kurt Nilsen (Norwegian idol winner, and World idol winner) had worked hard for years with his band, next to being a plummer, and a father of two, before a friend got him to go to the audition. And he has a great voice, he plays instruments, and he writes his own songs. Don't be so quick to judge!
I keep hearing things like that...Some people are so quick to judge. I remember having an argument with someone on another forum once, who kept saying that it didn't matter if he had worked hard, or that he was a great singer, cos he ruined it by being in Idol...It's the most stupid thing i've ever heard. And i know that's not what you were saying, i just remembered it now...and that kinda attitude always annoys me!
Anyway, back to what this topic is about. Haven't heard about this show anywhere else, but it sounds really bad to me. Just another way to break people's self esteem. What's the point? Where is the entertainment in breaking people down like that?

erm what happened to his band? why arnt their names on the product (cos thats what it is, a product) yeah theres a word for that
