Don't walk under ladders?
Freak out at the sight of black cats?
Need to wear lucky socks to a game?

What superstitions have you heard of, or even follow?

I've heard that if the clasp on a necklace you're wearing has swung around the front and touching the pendant that someone is thinking of you. If you kiss the pendant and clasp together before adjusting it they will continue to think of you.

It doesn't make any sense but I've done that since I was in high school.

Anyone have any others?

I'm really not a supersititious person but one year I had this one shirt I wore to work every race day because I got to noticing I was wearing it in every win picture. So I believed it brought the racing stable I worked for good luck when I wore it on race day.

i don't walk under ladders...'cause someone up the ladder could drop something on your head!
i usually freak out when i see a black cat...or a white cat, or a brown cat. i just generally don't like cats.

i do have some superstitions, not because i think it brings me good luck, but because i've been doing them fo so long, i can't stop.

I NEVER put shoes on a table.
i say 'white rabbit' three times on the first day or every month.
i can't think of anymore right now.

I have a lucky flannel shirt (good things always happen when I wear it.)
I never step on the cracks on concrete

I'm not a superstitious person, except when it comes to one thing; If someone says Good Luck to me when I'm about to go up on stage I don't say Thank You..

I don't walk under ladders, and I don't pick up pennies if they're on tails. I've been known to turn and go another way if I see a black cat crossing my path! And I don't know what they deal is about cemetaries, but if I'm driving past one, I hold my breath.

Uhhh, don't pass out, or you might not leave the area...;)

Oh, I do the cemetary one too
Hmm...one of the ones we have is that you should give a young child a penny to enhance prosperity...I mean a young kid, in a stroller...this is OK, until the silly little kid tries to eat the penny...so I'm not sure if it would work posthumously...but that's one of the ones Mrs. D says is of Scots extraction, from her grandfather. There's a ton more, but I can't remember 'em right now...having a senior moment...😉

Hey, that's my sort of humour, little missy. Do we need to have a conversation about toes and the stepping thereof? We do? Ok..

You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out;
You put your right foot in, and you shake it all about...

i say 'white rabbit' three times on the first day or every month.

Babe, I was joking about that. I won't appear behind you... Unless you say 'Black rabbit', three times and in front of a mirror.

Hey hey!! the humor king is back! lol
and what are you talking about stepping on toes? i'll have you know that i am the Queen of sarcams...you just reign at my side. 😉

no, not feet. i mean shoes, if no ones wearing them. i got it from my mom, she doesn't put shoes on the table.

You know what? I don't remember either but I've done it since I was a kid....maybe if you hold your breath the ghosts can't find a way to possess you? Who knows?

I kiss any competition or gambling thing I enter for luck....of course I've never won anything so maybe I really should re-think that. :lmao:

Not that I believe any of it, but I've heard some more

Breaking a mirror = 7 years of bad luck
Lucky four-leaves clovers
To wish good luck in France, we say "merde" (sh!t in English)... which is kind of funny... lol
I always had black cats... I maybe a kind of witch or sth... hehe :silly:

I think superstitions are a little on the stupid side, and I love black cats, they're my favorite. I don't have a lucky item, lucky number, there's no superstitious ritual I do...

My superstition really isn't a 'superstition' per say... it's just a rule I always follow or I believe bad things will follow.

White shoes/pants/skirts must never be worn before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. Otherwise bad fashion statements will follow you the rest of your days!

I always follow it!

Sounds like an actual superstition to me. 😀
