Hey everyone! Havent been around in a while & I'm back for now because I would like to ask you questions, just so that I can try and make up a survey that includes people from all over the world.

If you want to take part in this, please read the following, otherwise, feel free to ignore me, I shall not threaten to lick you to death if you do so :silly:

Ok, if you're in, I need you to pm me the following information:

(Please note the first 3 questions are intended to show what kind of population participated to the survey, if you do not wish to provide the information, I am not sure I can use it, but just in case, you could still answer the questions.
Then I'd like to emphasize that this is not a test. Please, don't use anything but the knowledge you have at the moment you answer the question, cause the survey would have no point if you googled for an answer.)

(I mean when did you last watched, seen, read, something that involved the character. A date would be good along with what it was)

I watch Hook on Network TV every Chirstmas Season. I also saw Finding Neverland about two years ago when it was realesed on Video.

oops sorry...if you want to delete my post now that you have the answers from me than thats fine with me...I dont want to influence anyones answers and hinder your survey at all. Just curious though what is about peter pan that you are trying to find out? Like what is the importance of the survey in relation to him. Obviously the question are all about him...but why?

I'm doing a Master's thesis kind of thing in English Literature Studies, and my point is to find out how many people know Peter Pan (which so far is basically everyone who took my survey) and who actually read the original story. I'm doing this because I want to show that Peter Pan became a mythical figure and is still a famous character outside of his background (the story Peter & Wendy or the play) because people have been using his personnality & what he embodies to tackle other problems or points than the ones orginally addressed. :silly:

Basically, why is Peter Pan still famous when Diamond (At the Back of the North Wind) is pretty much unknown?

I tried to rep you but it didn''t let me, lol... just wanted to say, since I'm French and am doing my thesis in a French Uni, my thesis is actually going to be.. .guess what.. in French. lol
So unless you're comfortable with that language, I'm afraid you won't be able to read it... I'd translate it if it was short, but 80 pages is way too long to translate. Sorry. 🙂

oh my! hahaha I didnt realize. Unfortunately I only know a few words in French so I doubt that would help me much. Thanks anyway. I am sure you will do fantastic on it anyway. maybe once its done you could just kinda quickly summarize the reason for him being so well known vs that other charcter you mentioned. 80 pages wow! Thats a novel isnt it! I hope you enjoyed your research. 🙂
