Okay... I'm waiting on tomorrow's episode to binge the 3 from this week for AU. But we're caught up to last week, so below are my thoughts on the first 6 episodes

First of all...
WHY on beautiful, tropical Samoa, would ANYONE FLAUNT their HIDDEN idol? ON THE FIRST DAY. Nash is an absolute idiot. And to further the issue, THROW THE FIRST CHALLENGE so that his tribe, as they should, FLUSHES HIS IDOL?! Not sure anyone would want the legacy of the WORST idol use in the history of the entire international franchise. Glad his tribe voted him out the next chance they got. The whole confusion on if he had an idol the second time was ridiculous. Glad he isn't taking up screentime anymore.

Speaking of terrible gameplay, Ally spilling the tea to the opposing tribe without ANY provocation. Did any of these people watch any of the past Survivor seasons, Aussie or American? And to make terrible gameplay even terribler, she lets her tribe know she exposed them all. What?! Is everyone on the island very stoned?

I felt so bad that Zen was medivacced. No one wants to go out that way, but especially a young buck like him. I hope they invite him back for another season. I think he could have been fun to watch.

I do like that the producers seemed to have used that to stir a little chaos by doing a fake vote and sending one person to the other team. These are twists I like because it shows who is on the outs on the losing tribe and then the swapped player has to figure out how to navigate the dynamics of the other tribe. And since the Brawn tribe is on a winning streak, Rich gets a longer time to immerse himself in the brawn tribe.

Ally's bad gameplay comes back to haunt her and she's voted out. Sorry, girl. Next time, try not to betray your tribe? That you're going back to?

I think the best player at this point is Paulie. But he needs to be careful because early powerhouses don't usually make it to the end, and there's a LONG way to go. He's my pick, but he needs to keep his head in the game, and make sure he's being strategic with relationships through merge.

I actually... like?... this cast???

I am honestly shocked. This is the first cast I've liked on Day One since Winners at War, and the first newbie cast I've liked since... um... Edge of Extinction?

I still hate the 3 tribe format, however. I think its unnecessary, I don't think we get a good indication of the dynamics of the players, and as usual, I think it runs the risk of one tribe habitually losing, potentially losing good characters for the sake of manufactured drama. If there were 24 players, with 8 players per tribe, I would feel differently. But 6 players is too small to start with.

Spoiler: Episode 1 details

I love that Kyle helped Kevin get the supplies for his tribe after he accidentally broke his jug. I am hoping this helps him down the line after a swap or merge. A small act of kindness like that at the beginning can really help at the end. And the fact that he wasn't doing it to necessarily advance his game, but because its the right thing to do.. it shows his character and shows Kevin that Kyle can be trusted, if they end up on the same team together.

Don't really understand how someone can say another player is untrustworthy immediately after meeting them, so Charity attempting to discredit Kyle's character was.. a choice.

I love that Sai worked with a few players to break the cipher and get her immunity idol. But I also am weary because now 3 other players in a tribe of 6 know she has the immunity idol. And if they lose 2 more times before merge, that can come back to bite her.

This was one of the best first episodes of the *groans* New Era. It was compelling. There are a few great characters. I am excited to continue to watch. Don't let me down, 48!

I groaned. Noonan was hilarious complimenting Ally. Ally just thinking she was being a cool chick to hang out with, seemingly not realising how much info she gave the other tribe! I think she has worked in AI way too long. And how was it with her lecturing AJ! Wow.

Nash was just a chaos gnome. He was fun to watch, even if a terrible player, its always fun to see an unexpected spanner.

I felt so bad that Zen was medivacced. No one wants to go out that way, but especially a young buck like him. I hope they invite him back for another season. I think he could have been fun to watch.

Me too 😭 He was so pretty in his blue budgie smugglers. He was really the only one I wanted to stick around for a long while. I hope they get him back too. Considering Nina got another go after injury, I think he will too.

I am having a hard time trying to figure out the winner. Or even who I want to be the winner. Im sorta enjoying the craziness of it all, its moving along fast.

AJ is playing ok in that socially he got out of the firing line, until he could make a move. He is keen and maybe those big moves will be his downfall.
Morgan will probably go far in that shes strong and not getting into any mischief. Myles is a fun watch, reminds me a bit of Raymond with everyone not really liking him much. The big boys always get a good run. Paulie is one to watch, although he already looks like he smells like day 39. Laura?Lauren? The white witch lady is much smarter than she appears. If she gets to merge, she could be a threat. Noonan is good tv but I dont know how far she will get, shes a big personality and might put a target on herself, she'd have to go in clueless and be blindsided. Not a fan of Logan, I just dont like her, trying too hard to be Shonnee.

It was funny when Rich messed up reading the note. I love that production leave those bloopers in and really put the pressure on them hahah. I love watching the faces fall at tribal when a vote doesnt go their way. So satisfying!



I liked the first ep of 48 too! I liked the structure of the cast, they have the lady firefighters back in both seasons yay 😀

Yeah I like that Sai was straight into the game. And the teamwork was fun tv. It does feel more like a treasure island type game with all these little clues and games. I dont hate it, but it is a different game to the way it started. It thankfully didnt feel like they were just filling time, there was action to see, puzzles to work out, clues to find. Much more entertaining than listing taylor swift songs.

I noticed that the channel I watch it on has it listed under "special interest" rather than "Reality" now. I guess they are trying to separate the trash from the treasures. MAFS is still listed as reality lol.

Went too hard and it backfired for him. I found it such a satisfying vote haha. I like Myles, and him outplaying Max was funny. Im SO glad Myles played the idol for himself, was worried for a second he would play it for Zara, and Im so glad he didnt. Now to see the fallout, Myles has no allies.



48 ep2 @Stake fodder are you watching this season? 😀

Not looking good for green team. The dorky team is funny.
I do not like Eva at all. Using emotional manipulation straight off the bat, who's taking advantage of who here? Joe is a popular dude.

Its interesting to make the beware so difficult they need to pull others in to help solve it. Certainly adds another social game layer. Thomas is cheeky, and I would have got on board with his plan - provided they lost the immunity challenge.

Who does a practice run? Im with Sai on this, shes so passionate and it is good tv. But I dont think she would have finished the puzzle in time either.

The casting seems very similar to AU this year, we both have stuntmen and firefighting women 😀

I know who goes, twitter spoiled me 🙁

I have recorded the first episodes, but haven't watched. I wasn't sure I would, because I so dislike the 90-min format. But I should at least watch the first hour before deciding, so I will try to do that!

Ep 9 was a good ep of DONDI, well produced, fun show. Final 5 and we still have David and Parvati DREAMTEAM in the game. If they are both on AU vs The World, it will be EPIC!

Sunday episode of Survivor AU -

I dont know why they all seem to find Myles unlikeable~ I like him! He's excitable.
Morgan is suspiciously quiet after a feisty start.
Not sure if I believe Noonan, but AJ, Laura, Noonan and Myles could be a fun 4!
AJ dont show your cards on Paulie like you did for Logan! LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES BOY! Poor social game.

Survivor Pub is the best reward yet.
Pretty boy Kalen with pretty braids. I'd be intimidated!
Ben seems a bit of a nothing player, just cruising along on his muscles.

Correct drunk Myles, Logan. She will be far too dangerous if she gets to merge.
HAHA Zara dug her hole for herself. Laura is smart to stay quiet in this, use Zara as a shield.
Go Myles, you tell her! Did Allie possess Zara? Who does she think she is trying to control Myles game when they are obviously not in a trusting alliance. I know Myles wouldn't get far with the other side either, but its better than being a whipping boy for the old Coven.

Brawn has to know that Myles is on the bottom of the Brains and shouldn't be the next vote... I can only hope.

Noonan has a clever social game. I hope Paulie plays his idol smart and doesn't fall for the noonan misdirect.
Oh I completely forgot about AJ's idol!! Could have been a fun revote had Paulie and Kristen actually voted for AJ.
That was sad they turned on Noonan, but I guess she knew her ankle was probably going to slow her down anyway.
2 idols, in a three idol tribal.
Poor play by Paulie and Kristen, they could have taken their shot at anyone on the other side.
I'm assuming the ankle had more to do with it than the audience knows. Or at least I am hoping so because that could have been a much better move!

But have you ever watched The Apprentice UK? It is so good! I used to watch The Apprentice in the US when I was a teenager (long before Trump put in his bid for politics) and I loved it. I just got into The Apprentice UK last year. I wish I could find somewhere that has the old seasons easily accessible!

We were due a messy season and messy season we have! I havent really been reading much online elsewhere about the season yet, but I think it might be polarising. I think it has been at the top of its game for the last three seasons, so we had to have a fall somewhere. I'm still very much enjoying this season - for what it is - which isn't brilliant play, but chaos tv.

AJ is actually playing smart, just not socially smart. He's fun to watch, got the game but not the core social skills for the game.
Paulie is a bitch, but a much better social player. Dont fall for it Kaz!
Was I just not paying attention or is this the first time we've seen the credits?

Tuesday AU episode 11/3 AU Epic react rant.

This is gona bite Zara. Laura is PISSED and dangerous with her anxiety - much like AJ. They could be unstoppable if they teamed up, but I doubt they would.

The Hunkz is the best alliance name, this game. Almost as cute as California Girls 😉

Kate and Jesse are boring. I miss Noonan. Myles is cute as. YAS RAT KING! I'm so on team Myles. I hope he doesnt blurt it, but I bet he will HAHA.

US needs to bring back sexy idols. Beads on a string are not nearly as cool as skull necklaces.

Kaz is on her rags I bet. What a strop.
Spaghetti is so fun, a cheap one but a good one! I hope they get beer haha. I sorta miss the AU in Oz seasons because they got obviously pissed. Its a shame KFC arnt a partner this time! ULTIMATE.

Caught up on last week's Survivor US episode. This cast is just so damn enjoyable!

But listen, Star.... at this point, you've been together for 3 days, you know people are going to have made allegiances. Why do we get everyone involved in the cipher? And then to isolate one individual. It just makes you a bigger target.

I would have lied about getting an advantage, so Thomas got credit for me, but Mitch.. come on.. now that everyone knows about your advantage, you're a target. No one wants to have their vote blocked by you.

Yet again Vula loses, which continues to showcase why the 3 tribe set up is a terrible structure. Let's go back to 2 tribes of 9. It just works better. When you're at a 5 person tribal on episode 2, with the same tribe from the previous episode, it just doesn't hit. There are only so many options, and it isn't as compelling as having more personalities at tribal.

This cast is just so fun, though, so I am gritting through my 3-tribe hatred because I enjoy watching the players.

I had to google too but nothing hit the press until the next day! I was so confused, they didn't show any of his illness or injury. I had kinda suspected that when he said he was throwing that challenge, that he was just a bit shit at it, but being ill and injured makes more sense for him to say he was throwing it instead. Im sorta glad Jesse has one less on his side hahaha what a bozo - but I am glad to have them on the show. Gotta have someone to dislike. They do cast Jokers on purpose and I love it.

US episode was annoying. The second half of the episode was pretty much useless. I dont like the blindfolded challenges, they are funny but I feel it when they bash into things!

I really like Kemilla, such energy in her confessionals! Sai continues to delight, shes so passionate about the game and playing the game, its hilarious to watch. Mary is a good sport. She obviously has experience with full on people and has taken the best road to deal with it, clever social player and I look forward to seeing her at merge. Stuntman Chad whatshisname - was good to get his backstory. If a fit, white, male with everything going for him cant make ends meet to start a family, with ALL of his advantages in life, no one can. Its finally hitting mainstream that no one else has a hope in hell. Good to finally see what others have been screaming for a decade now on such a popular mainstream show. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the other players. Vula dominates the screen at the moment. Much like the season with Kenzi in it, which makes me wonder if Mary wins this. I dont think Sai has a chance with her social game.

The three tribes format being PROVEN terrible once again and I wonder if now production will realise and switch it next season. It would have been more historic if Cedrick sent himself home.

We like Paulie! He’s a bit of a villain but he’s fun to watch. I’m glad he was saved by the Ben evac and hoping now that they’re merged he will be able to go farther.

The three tribes format being PROVEN terrible once again and I wonder if now production will realise and switch it next season. It would have been more historic if Cedrick sent himself home.

I think it was a vote for the Survivor 50 fan vote, so I’m hoping more of the audience agrees with us and Jeff sees that it’s a terrible format when the audience tells him such. I was just thinking how great it would be to do a schoolyard pick for Survivor 50. Like they used to do in some of the early seasons.

Sunday night
I wish Logan would be her own character and not a Shonnee wanabe. This is why Noonan, Aj, Myles and Paulie are so fun, they are all their own people.
Morgan is playing a very under the radar game - I don't think she's hidden in the edit because she was heavily featured in the promos.

First reward - yeah I was going to say this challenge would hurt your neck! PD should have done it one handed though, he probably still would have beat Laura. Aww poor AJ he is a bit socially stunted. I admire the try, but I suspect he is not long for this game now. WOW big cocktail party. Yeah the girls. Oh that is a bit ripped off, only half get a merge feast? And in earshot! Brutal.

LOL production has captured Jesse. But he isnt really any threat for sole survivor, where as Logan may be.
AJ, that kind of confidence is what gets you gone by the end of the episode...

Immunity...
PD would have beat Laura once again if he gave it a go. I rekon Morgan is not trying as hard as she could now, to reveal a challenge beast later.

The scramble just makes me confused 😭

Monday AU.

Cant wait to see the Paulie fallout, bet he is missing Noonan too. OUCH! That torch to the head would have hurt. Good thing he is a paramedic and there are doctors on his tribe haha.

Hmm chatties about dumping on Paulie, he's gotta win immunity. Ooooh! Kaelen good info 😀 pls get Logan out instead of Paulie. PLEASE. AJ is playing dangerous - on brand for him. Not the fallout I expected, he just went for a sook rather than a rage. Valid.

I duno how fair I think it is that PD still gets to stay in the game. Although I wonder with him going at the same time as Ben might have been bad for business and they gave him the option to stay. He is just number, not a player.

I thought Karin would be strong on this one. Kristen almost looks hotter than Kaelen. Those arms!

DONT SPILL YOUR GUTS MYLES. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT! Especially to the witch!

I love it when they dress up for tribal hehe. They all look so cute!

Yeah Paulie you lost your buddy when you voted her out! I knew he would miss Noonan too.

Hey y'all! I decided to watch Survivor US after all and have caught up. I will never use that buggy CBS app again. From now on, it's my trusty VCR!

Which is what happened, and made the 3rd tribal council a complete mess. It happens too often in a 3-tribe format that one tribe collapses, so I definitely agree with you.

I have sympathy for Eva, but I agree that it was unfair for her to dump all that on Joe. I think most players would have resented that, so she got lucky.

Especially when they’re not given food or flint.

Yeah, I don't know why they keep doing that. There's really no pretense now of bring stranded on an island, with all the twists and challenges, so let them at least have fire. Good thing they are given clean water now, instead of needing to boil it as in the early days. And I think it's a big factor of a losing team continuing to lose.

Have you both been voting in this? I only saw a mention of it once, and it was too late for me to vote. What other options have they had?

One thing I wish they'd stop is mud challenges. Once they're covered, I can't tell who's who!

I grudgingly like Sai. Most out-of-the-gate aggressive players, especially women, get voted right out, so I'm impressed that she has had staying power. She also can play the emotions smartly. I think she changed Cedrik's mind to save her by her earnest plea.

Tribal will be interesting as I assumed Myles would go but seems not so... although that outfit looks like an elimination outfit - did we learn nothing from the golden god!

I like tribals with this cast. They are clued in and smart. Brains Vs Brawn the first time was not as witty or smart. I am blaming the heat in the aussie outback for the lack of cool tribals for that, now being in Samoa again has helped them retain enough brain power to make tribal smart.

UHOH did AJ see Karin tell Logan? Should have waited til the vote cos now Logan is freaking out. I would be sad to see AJ go, but also happy to have seen him play hard from the get go. OOhpa, witch didnt see that one coming! Admittedly, neither did I.

No, I haven't been voting or seen any voting options. I'm assuming its a CBS thing which doesn't trickle down to 9now where I watch it on free to air tv. Jeff is definitely not concerned with any fans outside of the US, he actually seems quite hostile towards international versions. I am so looking forward to AU vs the World and how that is received.

I’m so glad you saw this too. I was like ”Surely, they write down Logan.” and then it DIDNT happen. Because then they could have gotten two immunity idols out of play in one game move. What a flop!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad my boy Paulie gets another chance at life in the game. But it could have been a legendary move. And it wasn’t. AJ and Myles are going to regret not getting Logan out when they had the chance.

Which is what happened, and made the 3rd tribal council a complete mess. It happens too often in a 3-tribe format that one tribe collapses, so I definitely agree with you.

Right! It’s only a legendary or historic tribal council because there’s 4 people with 800 advantages going to their 3rd tribal council in a row at the start of the game. They should at least make them do firemaking or something at 4, regardless of what advantages or idols there are. That would make it interesting!

Yeah, I don't know why they keep doing that. There's really no pretense now of bring stranded on an island, with all the twists and challenges, so let them at least have fire. Good thing they are given clean water now, instead of needing to boil it as in the early days. And I think it's a big factor of a losing team continuing to lose.

It’s supposed to make it harder but really it gives an unfair advantage to those who win the first immunity challenge.

I grudgingly like Sai. Most out-of-the-gate aggressive players, especially women, get voted right out, so I'm impressed that she has had staying power. She also can play the emotions smartly. I think she changed Cedrik's mind to save her by her earnest plea.

Game wise, that was a terrible move on Cedrick’s part. But I selfishly like how terribly Sai is playing and it makes it interesting. Mary was a genius in playing mind games with them. I hope the tribal swap gets Mary a new chance at life!
