The promos are full on now on tv 😀 And they have started teasing Big Brother AU.
I didnt like the channel 7 format, but if 10 does go full out with a theme like US seems to do, it might go well. I really dont know how they will do it this time. It might be worth making sure they dont target just one generation. Mel Tracina is going to be a great host and could probably carry the whole show on her own lol.
This is the current ad for channel 10 shows, it seems like they are trying to capture their prime. This is a similar ad and song to when they first started with reality tv years ago. I hope its not the death throes.

Something has been missing with Masterchef this season so I really, really, really hope that hasnt spilled over to the rest of their shows. It feels like someone in a creative position messing with a working format - but that is pure feeling with no actual information to back it up.

Big brother Us ep 5?
Jimmy is such a bitch! So entertaining 🤣 He's clocked Adrien. I want Kelley to be an underdog, Survivor Myles like.
The budget is so obviously SO much bigger than anything we have ever had in australia. The black out challenge was hilarious. Havent seen the next ep yet.

s2 of The traitors NZ is way better than s1. Gameplay from the get -go. I like the way this game is evolving. But I say that as someone who loved s2 of AU too. Only up to ep 7 now.

Great opening episode! Did feel like we were right back into the middle of a game. At the moment, my money is on Shonee for the win. Im a huge George fan, but certainly not complaining about David or Rob being on my screen!! Parvarti brings the goods, and I am so happy to see Lisa play again. Lisa is a riot.

Lots to love in this episode
Kirby not being intimidated, at all, cos she knows no one.
Flint - "Boring" IShonic
Aussie flag budgie smugglers
Power Bottoms
DONDI crossover
And a Mystery Box!

Production dropped the ball on this one. Lightening looked dangerous long before they pulled the pin.
JLP seems a bit flat, I have never noticed all of his questions being so similar before, but it might be a bit like pulling teeth to get info out of these experienced players. I can't imagine charismatic David being able to shrink himself from the action like JLP does, so professionally.

Thoughts to this point - SPOILERS to first merge boot.
Kass is MAJOR danger. Parv should be cautious about trusting her and that endurance deal might have been a bad deal on her part. Although I can see why she just needed to get through that vote.

Will be interested to see where Lisa goes after the first merge vote. Next vote should be Janine to isolate Luke, but in saying that Luke and Janine are a solid 2 who the world team can use. I don't see Lisa turning on Cirie - yet. So she might be the swing in the next vote. Happy to see Shonee and Kirby playing together. Love the new core 4!

Even happier that at least Parvarti is still in the game. I had such high hopes to see her and David work together after DONDI. Rob was a stupid dick and should have taken their deal rather than trying to bulldoze through alone. It would have been a EPIC game with those three if Rob hadnt ruined it. Sarah realised that too once she was gone, she signed her own death warrant when she wrote Davids name. She cant hold her nerve.

Kirby being nonchalant is such good social game play. When George ratted on her to David, she could have freaked, but she played it cool and made the rest of them freak out instead. Perhaps not planned on her part but better not to react than to backtrack, and she quickly realised how powerful and threatening that made her.

George, he is one of my all time favourite survivor characters. He knows hes a character. The opening credits where the flag smacks him in the face cracks me up every time.

Funny that they voted out all of the "challenge beasts" when the challenges havent been the beastworthy type yet. These players should have known that. The world tribe are above and beyond fitter than the aussies, all the aussies came in fat. I am enjoying the older cast as well, none of them annoy me haha. I love watching them play and navigate it all. The edit is a bit obvious backwards in some episodes, but tribal is still edge of my seat stuff.

I do miss the reward challenges but with such a small cast, I get it.

Still rooting for Shonee. Cant see Parvarti long in the game next time she loses to Kass in immunity. Tommi just seems along for the ride. Luke wants the win, Janine paid her way in - no chance. Lisa could be sneaky if she can stay in the game and Im waiting for her big move.

Just watched the first two episodes and having all these greats from Australia and 2 legends from America is amazing. I don’t consider Tony a legend. I continue to consider him annoying and I can’t wait to see Cirie and Parv turn on him.

I love that Parv was able to showcase why she is such a legend and amazingly good player of Survivor. Coming back to a more traditional game without all the twists and advantages that Winners at War had, she’s killing it already. Tony only won WaW because the new era of US survivor for the last like 10 years has been trash.

Thank got AU came back to show classic survivor and twists still work.

Also throughout the two episodes I kept comparing David to a host role and I don’t see it. But I now wonder if his fate in AUS vs World is why JLP was fired and David promoted.

I was SAD that Rob didnt team up with Parv, what a show that could have been! I dont know why he turned into such a dick about it, World strong vs US was never going to work for him with that attitude!

I was surprised to see David gone, I knew they were targeting the big boys but I was hopeful he got the hosting gig because he won again. I guess in the end he did win! He has been trying to get a solid hosting job on aussie tv for a while now but nothing has stuck.

Always exciting to get the revote anyway.

A revote at second tribal is always a good time. Even with a cast of 14. Which… original survivor was a cast of 16 for 39 days. 14 in 16 days is WILD.

When they played him by forcing revote, I was like “okay Aussies”.

Also I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed Cirie flaunting they were still voting out Rob with her hidden message “we’re still all voting the same way, right?”

This is only Rob’s second season. I think he was used to pushing his way through on his first season, and he didn’t realize that with people who have played this game 5 times, you can’t do that.

In fact, Cirie played a season of US Big Brother, as well. And she’s now going for a 6th season in Survivor 50 (which was filmed after AUS v World).

Parv and Cirie are literally the most experienced Survivor players in the world. It’s going to be tough to outplay them.

Also I just love how easily Parv slips back into survivor. She wanted to see if Rob was trustworthy, so she slipped him a half-truth. She’s still the cunning game player she was 20 years ago. It’s amazing to see.

It’s funny that David and Rob were the first two that played the first round of the first reward, and immediately started scheming, and they ended up being the first two boots.

Yeah and Cirie won the Traitors as well!
Even I was blindsided by that one.
.
Final week next week 🙁 gone tooooo fast! But I totally understand why this cast wouldn't need a 39 day game.

I didnt realise Lukes daughter was in such a serious condition recently. I wonder if the cast knew.

I am not missing the sob stories that we usually see, but one of luke reels with his daughter came up and if anyone could use a sob story to their advantage, it is him! Poor kid.

I am not enjoying this season as much as hoped! Its BRUTAL. A bloodbath. I need more fluff and less guts.

What’s the schedule this week? Was there an episode yesterday? I’ll have to get it ready for when I finish my classwork.

Yep, ep last night and tonight. Will have to check if final is Tuesday or next Sunday. Almost done.

Two episodes to go after tonight (monday night). Looks like its Tuesday, then Sunday grand finale.

I am not a happy chappy. Hated this episode. The edit is too predictable and I miss the rewards. But, all the best tv shows give feelz.

I loved Lisa, just because I'd be similar to her haha. She did well playing from the shadows in NZ, but she couldnt here. Especially after Luke blew it up. I loved Lisa speaking truth. Loyal game has worked for NO ONE this season. Her volunteer as tribute failed, and that was the end of the World.

I cant see Parv getting the jury votes from Kass, Tommi or Lisa at the end, and Kirby seemed genuinely hurt by her blindside so who knows if she respects game or will be bitter. If it is Luke vs Parv in the end, Luke may win even though he didnt play particularly well. He wants to sit next to Janine because he knows the battler will beat the billionaire.

With Parv and Lukes final 3 deal, does that mean she is going to turn on Cirie again or will Luke drop Janine? Had Cirie known of that deal she might have turned with Lisa. Shonee missed her shot here unless the four collapse at 5.

Its a frustrating game of what *could* have been. This vote was predictable but I hope the rest are not.

The double tribal was a great twist after Parv bluffed her advantage. It’s so nice to see her being able to actually make moves. She wasn’t in a position to really do much her last season (Winners at War) because the new era players got her out so quick.

It looks like she really learned from her past season. Having her and Cirie continue to do so well warms my heart. I love seeing them work together. And the Aussies are also a force. Getting them to break the World tribe was awesome. Luke really used his knowledge as leverage to get the internationals voted out.

The last episode was kind of boring. I think it was so dumb of Parv to rip up that steal an idol advantage. But she really doesn’t need it. It will probably end up with Luke and Parv at final 4 with immunity idols. I see either Shonee or Janine going next.

I knew this would be a fantastic season and it’s really lived up to the hype!!

I just get sad that all my faves go! But then, I have a lot of faves in this season hahaha.

Parv has played phenomenally. If the best player wins, then she wins. But I think Luke still has a chance if she has another bitter jury.

I think this will be better on the rewatch for me because I will be less heartbroken about the boot order. It really did live up to the hype up until last night!

That was such quick thinking too. I have no idea how Kass didnt get suss when Parv put it away. Its must be those doe eyes working for her. Kass was her biggest challenge threat out there for sure. It was so hard to pick when the World was going to collapse. I thought they would stay strong one more vote, but Cirie and Parv knew to move first or risk it.

I didnt post about the auction and cookie jar, but I loved all of that! I was so hopeful for a popcorn advantage for kirby, but having a throwback to the cookie jar was cool, especially as it was Luke that sent Parv to get it! And then she smashed it in the hole hahaha.

LOL at JLP's "too much separation of your balls, will only end in tears". I just cant see another host pulling that off!

I was sorta heartbroken for Tommi, no one would have seen the double coming. Well except maybe Shonee, she called that earlier fire challenge tribal too. Luke has so much experience with those challenges having won BB as well. He only loses if its endurance from here. And generally it will be endurance at the end.

Shonee saying she was coming for Jonathons job 😭😭😭 I think she would have been better received as a host than David is.

Im guessing now that Luke wants to go to fire so he has more on his resume. It was a power move to protect janine. The idol play was so funny. Thats where the experience really showed!! Neither wanting to say a name first. Luke has been burned at this point before and you could see his anxiety over it.

I loved the auction! It’s my favorite challenge!
Finale time! Im really looking forward to the final tribal speeches. This has been a good season, even with the predictable edits, they still managed some twists and blindsides without it being a long game, nor full of too many advantages.

Good try Luke, he was never gona win an endurance challenge against Parvati.
Good try Cirie! Like, we knew she wasnt going to win that either, but production making it seem so suspenseful!
Janine dug her own grave by owning the Kirby move. Kirbs was hurt, but Parv didnt steer that vote so now I can see Kirby supporting a Parvati win.
Luke stumbled a bit on the speaking.
Parvs speech was by far the best. She is just so charismatic! Her quote from DONDI - she could be a cult leader if she wanted to. And Kass only now finding out the parchment advantage was a bluff, is excellent big move stuff.

Aww Lisa is soooo cute. Her question got Luke back into character.
Cirie pulling on the heart strings. Parv knows reality tv.
Tommi is adorable in his wolf stuff, not going to be his love story is spot on lol. Luke is right about the spa too - if they had taken Shon she would have been a ride or die for them haha.
Kass hitting with a tough straight forward question. Good one, fun answers.
Luke blindsided hahahahah
Luke being at the bottom started well before merge, I think, editing left some out there.
Poor Kirby and her crush lol

WOW surprised by Sarahs vote for Luke! but yay, happy hes got someone on his side. Also yay for no Janine votes haha.

So we all saw the winner coming, but still a great game.

Big Brother Promo - apparently still casting! Must not have many good options lol. Im way too ugly for that show, I'd fall into mental hospital mode. Would prefer to go on Survivor, no makeup required! Crazy moves approved.

Good season. Felt BIG despite being only 10 episodes.

I just saw this on twitter and it makes me so excited!

That was the most epic season of survivor, even though it was the shortest I've ever seen. It's crazy because it only started with 2 less castaways than the original US Survivor seasons, but having 14 alumni of the game really made it seem like a full season! I think it's because we didn't have to deal with a couple weeks of boring episodes as the players got used to the elements of the game. These seasoned vets really knew how to bring it!

The finale was just as compelling as the rest of the season. I'm so glad we got to have Cirie/Parvati all the way through the end, even though Cirie wasn't in the final tribal. These are two US Survivor legends. They've played the most times out of anyone. And they know exactly how to bring the drama. I think Parvati saw this as a golden opportunity to really put to bed her Survivor legacy, and she took every opportunity. She had a target on her back the entire time, and she figured out ways to manipulate everyone around her.

Cirie was along for the ride, and she definitely supported Parvati and her plans. But this was Parvati's season. She did what Boston Rob could never do. Boston Rob always found a squad that protected him, and he would sniff out others that he would use his mob to take out. Parvati had to think off the cuff numerous times this season to save herself. Starting with the very first tribal!

I think if Parv and Cirie weren't there, Luke would have had this season in the bag. He definitely learned from his experiences in the past. He kept loyal to people, but also knew when to switch up to save him and Janine. He also won challenges when he knew he needed to. The difference is Parv outwitted him almost every time. Even in the final tribal, Parv was calculated in how she answered jury questions. She knew how to use her words effectively to sway the jury. But she's also had practice. She's sat in the final tribal twice, and been on the jury twice. So she knew how to talk to the jury to sell her game the best.

I definitely agree that there's a throughline of an edit. It's so short, you could rewatch this season and see tells of the outcome--who would become the final 4, for sure. All in all, at least JLP went out with a bang, and he was able to crown the World's Greatest Survivor Player.

I think David is great, but I just don't see how he's going to compare to Jonathan. Guess we will have to wait to find out.

In the meantime... I can't wait for BBAU to return in November. New Host seems fun, and I'm glad it's getting back to the former format. While I will miss the mix between traditional and US Big Brother, I am excited to see the Aussie format prevail and for it to be back at Dreamworld!
