Anyone manage to catch the show last night?
I liked it nd thought ti was an entaining hour and 1/2. The format has been done ebfore and isn't this a re-make? but i liked the acting and the plot kept be gripped.
Anyone else see it and like/dslike it?

I did write alot more but i computer closed down....gahhh
will come back later.

I only saw trailers. I don't have BBC here, but it looked interesting. Maybe I'll wait till it's online somewhere (BBC Iplayer only works in the UK 🙁)

I refuse to watch it or acknowledge it in any way because it bumped Spooks to Saturday this week. I'm petty like that. I don't even know what it is, and I hate it with a vengance! XD

ahaha aww ^^ is spooks on,on Tuesday to? here's the link for the website....
BBC - Survivors
It has the woman from Doctor Who in it...and good acting form the actors, a great way to while away a view hours.
Plus it got me thinking what i would do if that kind of the actually happened....topshop here i come! lol

The woman from Doctor Who = Freema Agyeman. I like her. It's a reason to warch it, or at least, try it. I guess
OK, I did enjoy it. I am saying this because I am going to have a rant that will involve
spoilers
.

1) Why do the BBC/ITV insist on giving Julie Graham leading roles.
2) What the heck was with the death? OK, I get that people died from the virus BUT I don't get why everyone died at the same time when it was evident that people contracted the virus at different times AND it was even mentioned that the virus acted with different speeds for different people.
3) Cars - how come in some scenes we're told that the epidemic of death happened almost instantaneously yet in others we're told the streets are completely empty.
4) Why were we told that the death rate was 90% yet we were seeing far less of a figure. Statistically speaking on Julie Grahams street alone there should have been at least 10 people IF you work on the basis of family homes have 3 people on and there are 33 houses (which is unlikely as that looked like a long as street).

I know its nit picking BUT the thing is, this stuff is easily solved if someone just put the thought in.

1) Don't hire her ever again
2) Have the virus spread exponentionally over a week and have people dying over said week. I know we see a couple of dead bodies before that night BUT we're then told everyone else died at the same time.
3) Place cars along the road - not just ONE conveniently placed for Mrs Boring to find.
4) Make the number more realistic with the setting - say 1% or even less than one percent of people survive.

Gah - I promise though, I did like it.

Ohh one final thing - After watching it, I don't think I wanna see Paterson Joseph as the next Doctor, he was pretty bland with the serious acting

Leave Julie alone...I like her (except for in Bonekickers, obviously 🙂)...OK, I kinda fancy her 😛

Survivors first ep was OK enough to make me want to stick with it...but I'm probably the only one around here who even vaguely remembers the original 1975 show 🙂

For someone outside my fanciable age range I do think she is attractive. If I were to end up with a lady I would be pleased if thats how she looked at her age...I just don't get her.
I am not a fan of her acting, find her quite stilted and stunted.

I will stick around too, not least because its very probable the actual next Doctor is in the show so I wanna see how he handles drama, but I have the above quibbles.

OHHH and Mr Pointy - glad I have you here.

You have to do me a MASSIVE favour if you haven't already.
Watch The Sarah Jane Adventures - The Last Temptation of Sarah Jane.

Its some much needed SJ back story and I have to tell you, at the end of episode two me and my most masculine of mates were bawling our eyes out. It was a truly magnificent story.
Watch it on iPlayer - in fact I urge everyone who is even slightly interested in Doctor Who to watch it.

Mr. Pointy
Mr. Pointy
Part one was brilliant...eagerly awaiting part two.
I watched it but was slightly confused - not because of the plot but the timings. I saw an ad which said it would air on Monday at 9pm....clocked that was Spooks time and they moved Spooks to Saturday (boo hiss!)

On Sunday Survivors airs on BBC, I missed part of it as I had expected it on the Monday. After that they then said the next episode would air on Tues (it was either Tues or Wed - the point being it wasn't Monday). So at Monday at 9pm we had neither Spooks or Survivor but some crappy 'filler' show.

So they moved Spooks for nothing!

Back to Survivor - good start, I had expected it to suck to be honest as Bonekickers looked good and well....what a pile of crap that was!

Fake Shemp
i was dissapointed by bonekickers too
my mum missed the first ep (well she recorded it, watched it tue before ep 2) and when she asked me if it was any good..."tis okay, well no not really... but ill watch it again"

so we watched the second ep and were just annoyed at it. but i think ill stick with it

feels like theres nothing new in it (down to the romero soundtrack ep2)

plus i only watched it for the lovely Freema 🙁
