Sounds like a dumb question, but hey, when it comes to words I've let out of my head, that goes without saying.

Swearing. Obviously it's a no-no against other members, and I'd imagine it auto censors most stuff but for fan fiction, for example, if it would be in character to include it, and to a degree serve the story, can concessions be made? Or would it be preferable to asterisk that naughty words' ass or just try and find a way around it? (" "Oh goodness, my hands are broken quite severely." said Faith regretfully "Gosh!" exclaimed Spike in dismay...")
 
Not that I would ever advocate cheating a lovely B Board's lovely protective coding that we all love... I was just curious as to the attitude towards it from Mods. Cheers. 😀

I understand your point about it being in character and for a fic you like to be as true as possible. But the main words are censored because it is a family board. Fair enough the show says them but thats under their control and they are responsible, just like we are here.

If you do include them, they will be censored but character wise and context wise it won't be hard to figure out what they are. If anyone does try and get around it, we will just edit it out so it shows as asterix's.
 
It's cool. After extensive preview-post testing, I've come to the conclusion that vBulletin Version 3.0.3 is far smarter than it's predecessors anyway. 😀

And in fairness, how in-character would it be if the Scooby Gang started speaking Irish for no apparent reason? Personally, I think more shows should switch language at random intervals.

Give me something general the equivalent of saying something like "crap" and something along the lines of "wanker" 😀

I don't really want to insult them per se...lol
