it's the time when they measure how popular the show is..Shows bring then all guests and whatever thy can to boost their ratings..that's what I think...

Ana8 is right on. Sweeps happen in November, February and May. I think the AC Neilson company is the keeper of the stats for the official TV viewer numbers.
