Swimsuit season

I can't believe folks want pictures. Haven't they been reading the posts? We're all a bunch of pasty white vampires whose beach pictures are likely to include red skin, blisters, and reverse-raccoon eyes. lol.

I want pictures of all of you, swimwear or no swimwear. Well, now that came out a lot more dirty than it sounded in my head.

Hey, we just like anything even remotely resembling the female form (like, Coke bottles ^^ ). And I say it again - pasty white vampire is a BONUS in my book. ;)
Swimming suits suck, mainly because I'm not a particular fan of swimming, find it rather boring, and I don't like tans.

P.S. I also propose that this thread has pictures, with the suits being modelled.

My intentions are decent and not in the slightest bit spurious or lecherous. 😀 😉

Pics? WHY?

I'm not skeered or n-e-thang....

but wtf? Oh well, whatever.

This pic is me three years ago. I had lost a great deal of weight, and was exercising 1.5 hours a day, I felt great, & it showed. This bikini is PURPLE, not blue, as the pic depicts. This is my Purple with neon green piping bikini I mentioned before... and I can't wear it anymore because it's completely faded & worn totally out... oh, yeah, & I GAINED 40 pounds since then... But hey... I USED TO BE A HOTTIE 😉

I feel your pain. I was 105 lbs at my lightest and shot up to 190. I'm slowly whittling it back down now.

Wow, someone had the guts to post a pic. Kudos!

Purple? Ok I take your word for it. It´s like the Phatoms suit. It´s supposed to be purple but in Sweden it looks like this. http://www.butik-hemlangtan.m.se/varor/FantomenEnkel.jpg

And this has absolutely nothing to do with with the thread.

So I go on to give you kudos for showing a pic. And "once a hottie, always a hottie".

Not that it has anything to do with this thread, but over the years, the Phantom's costume has "evolved" from Gray in the 50's to blue in the 70's and 80's to the current purple. In another 20 or 30 years, it'll probably be lime green.
Swimsuits are tough for me. It's not that I don't have the body for it, but I have this scar going across my lower abs, and I can't wear a bikini or even most monokinis because of it. But I'm outside hiking and playing sports and such a lot, so I'm not completely pasty. 🙂
And as for the Lands End thing, it's a great idea, but the swimsuits are all too old for me. I'm a teenager, and I wanna wear a swimsuit that suits my age while still covering the stupid scar. I love Delia's for swimsuits (and clothes, too), since they have cute one-pieces that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Don't let a scar stop you!
^ I feel ya on the scar thing. I've got one from a heart surgery that I had when I was a baby. I never knew about the scar (it's on my back; it sorta follows the curve of my shoulderblade and goes down under my armpit and under the crease of my breast) until I tried on my first bikini when I was 13 or so. Come to think of it, I didn't know about the surgery until then, either. But then, while I was checking myself out in the mirror, I caught a rear view and totally freaked out. I was like, "MOM! What's on my back?!" After that, I was all nervous about wearing bikinis, dresses, spaghetti strap shirts, or anything that showed shoulder. I've got smaller, fainter scars all over, too -- mostly on my hands and feet. I guess they're from IVs and needles and drainage and stuff.

But you know what? It took awhile, but I eventually said "screw it." lol. So I've got a scar. So what? It isn't going away and it isn't anything to be ashamed of. Lots of people have scars, after all. It just means you made it through something. It adds character.

Anyway, now I wear whatever I want -- sun exposure permitting -- and hardly ever think about the darn scar. It might take awhile, but if you honestly feel comfortable enough in your own skin that you would wear a bikini if not for the scar, then I think you will someday come to the same conclusion. No use in letting a scar scare you off self-confidence.

Summer? Swimsuits? Where? 😀

Well my swimsuit is a black halter top tankini of sorts. It's actually more like a bikini in the back but the front covers my stomach. I also have just a simple black bikini but if I'm going to wear that, I'll usually put on a kaftan....in a hippy looking sort of way...not a frump sort of way...at least I hope so! lol.

I don't tan...particularly because I'm thai so I already have the melanin. I miss the beach!

So true. And scars are sexy! Well, most of the time at least. But people in general are more critical then it comes to themsleves. It´s one thing to see it on others and another to have it yourself. So it´s good that you´re sharing.

Got a few scars of my own but nothing like my lil sis, who had similiar exeperinces to yours. Not that heart surgery though. But it seemed like she lived more at the hospital than at home for the first 6 years of her life. Not true, but it sure felt like it.

One thing I never understood. Maybe it´s just me not getting the signals, but doesn´t people react differently then women/girls have scars? Somehow people seem to think that it´s more appropriate on guys. I do hope I´m wrong though.

Now we´re going off topic, I´m good at that. What I really wanna say is "Don´t let the scar stop you Yam Sham!" But I´m aware that it´s something you have to come to terms with yourself. It´s not like you´re gonna change your mind for what one guy says on the internet.

I hate to be on the beach! My skin is full of scars so it looks very nasty... And i can't take any sunlight to my back because my new tattoo is only 3 days old 🙁

That's the only thing I hate about tattoos...you have to stay OUT of the sun, out of the salt water, out of the pool...for at least a week. Bleh. (But I wouldn't trade my tats for nuthin'!)
