In "First Date" of S7, in the opening shot (past "Previously on Buffy") theres a shot in cemetery with a clearly marked grave in big writing saying SNYDER. This is at around 54seconds (PAL DVD version), or a couple seconds i suppose into the US version. Just as Giles is explaining his 'years of training'.

Is this snyders gave? The year doesn't look right but since we are dealing with buffy with such an 'in your face' grave... surely. Thought it was pretty cool.
 
I don't think so, honestly. I mean, the man was eaten by a giant snake, there was not much to bury.

true. Though Wayne recieved a similar grave in Batman Begins despite no body <nerdom begins to shine>
It was probably just a fan wank but nothing serious. Synder seemed like a very lonley man whom noone really cared about. Though now that I think of it, they really should have had The First morph into him during the Big Bads segement in the 1st episode. That would have been HILAROUS!

one more thing about this eppy, when Buffy is first confronted with vamps in the ally on the way with Wood, the vamp that comes around the corner looks exactly like the vamp at the beginning of The Gift.
