Just wondering if there is anyone on the boards who does table-top role play?
Anything from Dungeons & Dragons to Shadowrun? Exalted or Scion? Five Rings or SLA?
Anyone, or am I the only geek on the boards? lol

I did for a while like...14 years ago. I wouldn't know the first thing about what's out there now. I'm assuming they never made a Buffy one. They should. Then I would play again. But I don't think you're a geek...lol.

I made a thread some months ago when I stumbled across the Buffy RPG on ebay. didn't buy it though - always short on money ;)
When I had people to play with I played D&D occasionally. Mr. Bear was playing since he was about 12, and he also played Warhammer 40K. And for a little while, his D&D group was experimenting with Vampire: The Masquerade and Werewolf: The Apocalypse.

They did make a Buffy one, I've never played it but I've heard it's not too bad. They also made a Serenity one which is really rather popular.

...and I am soo a geek!

I was in one of those "The Trio"-resembling, uber-geeky RPG groups meeting in some guy's basement that smelled of old socks and stale chips, in the years between 1992-99. We mostly played Pendragon (IMO, that's still the best system if you're heavy into "real" role-playing/persona plumbing, but the rather simple combat system leaves quite a bit to be desired if you're more the combat monster/hack'n'slay type 😉 ), but dabbled in a lot of other stuff, including several campaigns set in very strange settings I came up with myself, mostly using hybrid rules sytems, too (GURPS/HERO hybrids, or heavily modified AD&D). I was always hard to please with system rules as written. 😀

Used to be like that but we have totally gone up market and are now RP'ing in a coffee shop.
Which means that if someone loses their dice we don't have to touch anything that probably mouldy to find them yay!

I played D&D for a long time. A looooong time. I was a Forgotten Realms nut.

But I couldn't stand D&D 4th edition so I switched over to Paizo's Pathfinder system (which is basically a tweaked version of D&D 3.5 with a cool game world attached.)

I haven't actually played in quite a while, though. MMORPG's don't really appeal to me either.

Shadowrun was a really cool game too, back when I played it. I also played Mega-Traveller and Ars Magica.
