Tabula Rasa doesn't make sense

I can just imagine Giles wondering why he with Anya during the bunny scene. Lol .

This is one of my favorite episodes of BtVS. I think the point of the episode was similar to the musical where people sang their truth and couldn't hold back. In the case of tabula rasa we were seeing their personalities and who they really were on the inside.

Exactly.

And the episode has some linking with the end of the season:

Willow and Xander: together almost till the end. Best friends since kindergarten - and that friendship saved the world;

Giles and Anya: it was her who was beside Giles when he was severely injured - she *wanted* to be with him and comfort him in when she thought he was dying;

Buffy and Dawn - in the finale, they were together, having a loving sisterly moment;

Tara alone - dead;

Spike - a vampire with a soul. Oh my god, how lame is that?

That a new way of looking at it & you right about what you saying here . Wonder if that was planed or not ?

A lot of people complain about Spike but this explains his behaviour as well. Even on instinctual level, he still remembers his years of moral ambiguity.

It was the part of him that later would go away and fight for a soul.

Wonder if that was planed or not ?

I wonder too... but Tabula Rasa was the 8th episode - would they have the finale written already? Who would be with whom, maybe.

I don't think they had the whole thing . Part of it maybe & the rest of it was Lucky ? .
I do think that looking back at it that Tara was too nice to live 🙁
