Do any of you comic book readers read this?

I likes me anything Cthulhu and this ad popped up for it.
I have a great disdain for books of comic yet my fascination of the "verse" has almost won out.

and the cover for issue#1 is .... just friggin awesome!

That is right, a cover like that just screams sexual content, and in a day that people need to keep a safe distance. Luckily comics are just for entertainment.

I think that's some of the reason I really like the first season of True Detective, because of the Lovecraftian winks and nods.

I'm reading a book called Providence by Caroline Kepnes which is really tied in to Lovecraft and the Dunwich Horror in particular. I got it cos it sounded interesting and she also wrote the books on which the 2 series of YOU is based on and got this at the same time as those books. I should have realised the Lovecraft tie in from the title really.

I do like a Lovecraft reference in books and tv shows too

Reading about it now, it sounds pretty good actually. It doesn't sound very YAish which is a plus. I might have to investigate this further.

When I read the back cover of the book it sounded a little like a Stephen King idea which got me interested it's an enjoyable read though and fairly fast paced. You don't really get too bogged down anywhere in the book.

I was excited for it, but reading a few things as of late and my expectations are tempered. It doesn't help that I have no idea what the book is actually about.

Same here . He was a great writer & had so many different thens in his writing
