Tara being brought back in season 7

So I know I read in one of those "things you only found out recently"-threads a while back that Tara was supposed to come back in season 7. Buffy was supposed to have gotten a wish at the beginning of a episode, spend almost all of the episode wondering what she should do (thinking about bringing joyce back, making angel mortal and so on). Then at the end she was supposed to tell willow she wished for a pair of shoes or something, willow would ask if she really did that and buffy would say something in the lines of "of course not" and open the door and Tara would be there. (I'm getting all teary when I'm writing this!) I can't find the post now though.

Is this correct? And the reason it didn't happen was because Amber Benson was filming something and didn't have the time to do the episode?

And can someone who have more info about this please tell me more? 🙂 It'd be nice with some sources for example. 🙂

I would've loved if this would've happened. I really wish it had.

I like that, even though I would've liked for this to have taken place. 🙂 Shows that she cares for the character if it's true. And in some ways I like that Tara's death was permanent, as death usually are that way 🙂 I don't know how to explain it really, but sometimes I felt that death was taken a little lightly in the shows, if you get what I mean by that. Not that I'm scared of death, but it should be respected too.

Well yeah buffy died two (or of if you wanna be controversial three) times and came back so it could be said that death is taken lightly, it's deaths of characters like tara, fred, joyce, doyle etc that show the flip side and make death appear as something permanent.

The Master snapping Buffy's neck in "The Wish".....no wait, Buffy technically died from Warren's gun shot wound, until Willow brought her back (again). So that can be considered four times if we're being technical. 😉

Five if we're including alternate dimensions... she became a vampire in series 1 and was therefore technically dead.

That was because Willow made the doctors leave the room. She hadn't flat lined until Willow stepped in.

Well..she still flat-lined. There was some controversy as to whether or not Buffy died during that scene, and it is debatable, but the way I see, she flat-lined, so she died for a couple of seconds. 😛

"It was a question of negotiations, as it sometimes is," he tells TV Guide Online. "It's sad, because I love Amber. But that's between her and Fox." Adds Benson's rep: "She's very proud of her work on the show, but ultimately, we couldn't work out the right deal."
