Tara or New Shoes?

It's a sweet little idea, but I think it's probably better they didn't do it. Just doesn't seem very believable. Besides, I think Buffy would have brought her mother back first.
 
that's an incredible idea. and i love the thought of buffy picking tara. there are so many things i think, possibly, she would have picked before tara (angel, her mom), but i don't know...she might have done that for willow.
her mom died of "natural" causes, and she and angel had pretty much worked it all out by then...i wish that could have happened haha. tara's death was the saddest for me.

As much as I loved Tara, I agree. Buffy would have chosen to bring her mother back, for Dawn. She loved Dawn more than anything - even Willow.
 
Well, yeah, that's true...

I also want to add, though, that as much as I would have loved for Tara to come back to the show somehow, I am all about Woz. 🙂 I hope that ultimately Willow ends up with Oz.
 
Aw, I've seen that before. I think it would have been a really sweet scene, but what's the point? It just takes away the impact of Tara's death.
 
0-0!!! Why didn't he do that? That was an awesome idea! Would have been much better than Willow and Kennedy.

Lol, true enough. I would have been the one to say that I was hers if I was in the show :biggrin:. But since I wasn't Tara can have her. They where just so cute together!
 
I think it would have been amazing because I loved Tara and i hate Kennedy.
But, I don't think it would have really worked to well. I don't know if it would have felt believable.
I don't think Buffy would have chosen Joyce. I think Buffy and Dawn both knew deep down that Joyce had died simply because it was her time. I think Buffy would have more sence than to try and bring her back. Also, obviosuly dawn would have prefered her mum to be back again but she also seemed to show a very strong conection to Tara which would also be a good reason for buffy to chose her.
 
I don't know if she would have picked her mom.
Tara did not die the same way Joyce did...she was murdered. She was wronged in a way that can never be put right. It's a different situation, and I just don't know.

Anyways, I love that idea, and I sort of wish it had happened..but it DOES seem a bit un-believable. So I'm undecided.
 
I have to agree with everyone who is saying that Buffy would chose to bring her mom back instead but that would have been awesome to see Tara back, she is one of my favourite characters and i was constantly just wishing that Joss would bring her back, even for one episode, or at least for 'conversations with dead people' .
 
I think buffy by that point, had made peace with her mom's passing. It was natural and though it was tough, it was meant to be. Buffy loved Willow dearly and saw the pain it had caused her... and the dark place to which it was taking her, i think Buffy would def do this.

As nice as the idea of getting Tara back is, I can't help but feel like, i don't know, it just wouldn't have worked within the show. Even though Buffy is a fantasy sci-fi show, this scenario just seems really implausible, almost too convenient and incredulous, like it just wouldn't have fit in... Meh, i don't know how how to explain it right.

I've rethought this and am a little confused.
Buffy would essentially be pulling Tara out of a heaven dimension...right? (Assuming that's where she went, and I think we can assume as much.)
'Cause I don't think she'd do that. To anyone, ever.

Unless the magicks of the spell made it so like, I don't know, Tara would be happy to be back and wouldn't even think about her time in heaven. But that's pushing it even farther than it's already been pushed.

So yeah. I think Buffy should choose having an "I Will Remember You" life with Angel, a life that includes plenty of ice cream, Willow in Eskimo costumes and back together with Oz, (S7 spoilers)
Xander with two eyes, and Anya alive.
