Tara's real family

Willow and her girl Tara were cleaning their room one day when Tara found a birth certificate. She had a stunned look on her face after what she saw. Willow runs to her.

-"Tara, what's wrong?"

-"I'm Canadian, look." Willow takes the paper and shes also shocked.

-"How the hell did this happen? I mean I know how, but, geez?!" Willow states.

Tara stands up and starts pacing around the room.

-"Tara, sweetie, I'm sure your dad has a good explination." The Redhead reassures. Tara paces around untill Willow grabs her lightly.

-"Tara baby, we'll have the gang help you out in finding your real family" Willow looks into Tara's angry eyes. The blonde forces a smile and hugs her redhead, she hugs Tara back.

-"We'll be strong as an amazon" Tara smiles

-"Yep" The redhead caresses her girl's cheek. "I'm sure your family in Canada will love you just the way you are." Willow reassures her

-"I know that, its just that I hated it that I was lied to." The blonde says

-"I understand. We'll all go with you if you want to meet your family."

-"Thanks Will" They kiss.

Tara and Willow go downstairs in the living room where Xander, Dawn and Buffy are sitting.

-"Did you two have fun last night? You slept in late." Xander teases and smiles.

-"We had fun, but I found my birth certificate, and it said my real family live in Canada"

-"Oh a Canuck witch, good one" Buffy smiles

-"So you were adopted?" asks Dawn

-"Yes I'm afraid so Dawnie. It doesnt change anything. We're all still family."

-"We know Tara. We can all go with you to meet them. I'm sure they'll love you like we do." Buffy says with a smile.

-"Thanks guys" Tara smiles big.

Everyone gets up to hug Tara at the same time.

-"Are you going to live there?" Dawn asks sadly

-"No, I'm gonna stay here. I just want to meet my family, and suggest they move closer to us."

-"Maybe in Los Angeles where Angel lives." Willow suggests.

-"That's a good idea" Tara says.

-"Off to Canada!" Xander yells as he runs upstairs to pack while the others pack their clothes. Xander drives, Buffy's in the passenger seat, Dawn is in the middle of her favorite 'sisters' Willow and Tara.

They are on their way to Canada where Tara's parents live.

One and a half days of driving and they finally arrive in Alberta, Canada. Everyone looks around at the town they're in.

-"This is a very nice town" Tara says, smiling.

-"It sure is. It seems cold with everyone wearing coats" Willow observes outside of the car.

-"We should stop at a atore to get some winter clothes" Xander suggests

-"Definately" Dawn agrees.

They arrive at a store with winter clothes. They each buy a sweatshirt, pants, gloves, and a heavy coat.
They leave, and try to find Tara's parents house. They arrive at a small frame one story brick house.

-"Gee this is a small house" Buffy smiles.

-"Yeah, they must've slept in a haystack" Tara jokes sarcastically.

-"Lets meet your family girl" Xander says as he gets out of the car and opens the dors for the girls so
they can get out. Tara arrives at the door first, then Willow, Dawn, Buffy and Xander behind them.

She knocks softly, then she hears a dog barking. A lady with red hair walks up and smiles at them and opens the door.

-"Hi, can I help you?" The lady asks.

-"I'm Tara McClay, are you the Johnsons?" Tara asked. The lady then smiled.

-"Tara? Wow, I can't believe it. How did you find us? Come in all of you." The lady smiles.
They all sit at the kitchen table.

-"I was looking through my things with my girlfriend Willow, and I found my birth certificate. We were
shocked when we found out." Tara explains.\

-"Wow, That's great. You have great friends."

-"Thanks. Do I have brothers or sisters?"

-"You have one brother, he has a daughter, and one sister Carolyn, she's a country singer. You used to have another brother but he passed away"

-"Oh I'm sorry I never knew him"

-"Me too." The lady says sadly.

-"Isnt Carolyn a country singer? I saw her CD at a store" asks Dawn

-"Yes she is, a great singer. She'll be glad to see you Tara"

-"Thanks mom" The lady and Tara smile at each other then hug.

-"This is so sweet, family moment" Willow says then they all laugh.
Carolyn and her dad walk in seeing alot of people in the kitchen

-"Hey I didn't know we had company" Carolyn smiles, everyone turns to her.

-"Carolyn, this is your sister me and dad told you about, Tara"

-"Hey Tara, glad you could come" Carolyn smiles

-"Me too. These are my friends Willow, Dawn, Buffy and Xander." Tara tells her sister

-"Nice to meet you all. Where are you and your friends from Tara?"

-"Sunnydale" Tara tells her sister. "In California"

-"Never heard of Sunnydale. Must be new."

-"Its been around a long time, its small too" Xander explains

-"Oh ok" Carolyn smiles

-"I bet you'll be a big star in 2 years or so" Tara smiles

-"Thanks sis. I have a website with a messege board fans post on. They're nice people." The blonde singer explains.

-"Do you have a boyfriend?" Tara smiles

-"Yeah, his name is Matt, he's a cutie, you?"

-"Actually Willow's my girlfriend" Tara smiles and sees Carolyn get red, she giggles.

-"Oh geez, I'm sorry I didn't know she was your girlfriend, I apologize" Carolyn babbles

-"Its ok, we're not that open about it. You babble like Willow"

-"Hey I'm not babbling" Carolyn teases. Tara and her laugh.

Dawn comes in hears them laughing.

-"Hey guys." Dawn smiles

-"Hey Dawnie. What's up?"

-"I'm bored, can I hang out with you guys?"

-"Sure. Sit between us" Carolyn says as she moves over to let Dawn sit between her and Tara.

Tara, Dawn and Carolyn relax on the couch to watch some TV. Willow comes in the room and sits with Tara. Carolyn, Dawn and Tara move over a little. The redhead kisses her girl on the lips, Dawn and Carolyn try not to giggle too loud.

-"Sorry, its just that its romantic" Dawn teases.

-"Thanks Dawnie" Willow smiles.

-"Carolyn, you should have your parents and family move to Los Angeles. Its a nice place there." Tara says.

-"I'll think about it" Carolyn smiles. Tara and Carolyn's parents come in and they sit in a couch ajacent from the girls.

-"How would you like to move to Los Angeles with us?" asks Tara

-"We were thinking about moving there to be closer. But we dont know if we could handle the heat" Mr Johnson says.

Xander comes in with Buffy. "Use sunscreen, that will help." Xander suggests. The Johnsons agree then they pack their clothes to move to L. A. Carolyn gets her stuff ready, and also helps her parents put their clothes in her tour bus. "Off to LA we go." Carolyn says as they all head to Los Angeles. Tara and Willow wrap their arms around Dawn to keep her warm as they sleep in Xander's car and Buffy's in the passenger's seat. They arrive in LA, but Glory is there waiting. Xander sees her, but he's gonna ram her with the car by doing 80. He misses but stops the car in time. Tara, Willow and Dawn wake up and they see Glory at the window growling, she busts the window and grabs Xander. Carolyn sees the action and tries not to let her see them. Buffy gets out and taunts Glory by doing kung-Fu on Glory but it doesnt help. Glory sends Buffy flying towards Carolyn and they are on the ground. Glory is then gone. Willow, Xander, Dawn and Tara run to them. "Are you guys ok?" Xander asks, worried.

-"Yeah." Buffy groans as Carolyn gets up and tries to help Buffy up.

-"Who the heck was that?" Carolyn asked confused.

-"That was Glory, the demon who is trying to find the Key." Xander answered.

-"Least everyone's ok. Are your parents ok?" asks Buffy

-"Yeah I told them to stay on the bus. Wait did you say demon earlier?"

-"I know this is gonna be hard to believe, but I'm a vampire slayer, Tara and Willow are witches."

-"Oh I didn't know Tara was a witch. A good witch I hope" Carolyn half smiles

-"Of course sis." Tara smiles

-"Is Dawn a witch or a slayer?"

-"No, she's the one who Glory might be after, but we're together so it wont happen"

-"Least she's with her friends and sister." Carolyn smiles.

They all head to Angel's house for a night's rest. Willow and Tara are in a room, Dawn and Carolyn and Buffy are in another room. Xander is in another room. Next morning, they all head back to Sunnydale leaving Carolyn's parents at a house in LA. Tara, Willow, Dawn, Buffy, Xander and Carolyn arrive at Buffy's house.

-"This is a nice house Buffy" Carolyn commented

-"Thanks Carolyn." Buffy replied.

Willow and Tara go to their room giggling, Carolyn has a funny face as she sses them running up the stairs.

-"Looks like they couldnt wait" Carolyn teased and her and Buffy laughed.

-"They are the perfect match for each other. I know its strange to you but--"

-"Its ok, I don't mind. I was shocked when Tara told me she was with Willow, but hey, long as you love your significant other, I think it should be that way" Carolyn said with a smile.

Later that day, Carolyn is at her parents new house, and Buffy is at the new high school. Dawn is at her school enjoying her classes. Tara and Willow are at their place enjoying themselves. Buffy comes home, and finds her mother dead on the couch, she calls an ambulance, then goes to tell Dawn what happened, Dawn breaks down. A few days later, they have her funeral, and Dawn goes home with Willow and Tara to stay with them for the night. Carolyn gets a call from Xander the next day about Buffy and Dawn's mother died, and she runs over to be with them.

-"Hey guys, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Xander called me and I wanted to be with you guys." Carolyn said sadly with a smile.

-"Thanks Carolyn." Buffy hugged Carolyn. Carolyn then hugged Dawn tightly.

-"Dawnie, I know this must be hard especially on you, and I want to do everything I can to help you and everyone else."

-"Thanks Carolyn" Dawn smiles. Tara and Willow comes downstairs.

-"Carolyn hey, thanks for coming"

-"No problem sis." Carolyn smiles at her sister then hugs her, then she hugs Willow.

Three weeks later, the Singing Demon comes to town and makes everyone sing. Buffy starts out with her song "Alive". The gang are at the Magic Shop and they are singing. Dawn comes in and sees everyone singing. Then Carolyn comes in singing and twirling, but her feet almost catches fire, Xander and Giles run to stop ner and Buffy gets a fire extinguisher and sprays her feet.

"That was close." Xander says.

"What is going on?"

"A demon who makes people sing can make them....catch fire." Answers Giles.

"Singing is a curse, gotcha." Carolyn smiles at Tara and Willow as she sits by them.

"Tara and Carolyn are sisters, so you three do threesomes?" says Anya. Willow gets up with a mad look.

"Hey, for your information, I'm straight!" Carolyn says sternly.

"Anya shut your hole!" Xander says.

Willow and Tara look at each other then they grabs hands and run out. Anya is about to say something sarcastic but Xander covers her mouth with his hand. Carolyn just smiles.

Willow and Tara are out side talking. "Oh god, boys like me?" Tara says trying to run and Willow grabs her. "Do I have to fight to keep you?" Willow teases. Tara sings Under Your Spell. After shes done, then the scene goes back to Xander teasing about Willow and Tara not doing work. Dawn and Buffy take Carolyn out for pizza. At the pizza place, Dawn Buffy and Carolyn are eating their pizza. Few weeks later, The Trio men try everything they can to get Buffy.

"Why are they trying to go after Buffy?" Carolyn asks Willow.

"I'm not sure."

"We should have the police after them." Tara suggests.

"We could." Carolyn agrees.

"Lets just all stay close and becareful." Willow suggests

Everyone nods to Willow's suggestion. Carolyn, Tara, Willow and Dawn are eating lunch at Buffy's house.

"Carolyn, you make the best 7-layer desert." Dawn says.

"Thanks." Carolyn smiles. They all continue with the lunch. Tara and Willow go upstairs and have fun in the bedroom. Carolyn and Dawn smile trying not to giggle too loud. "We hear you giggling!" Willow yells from upstairs. They get quiet, then smile. Suddenly, they hear shooting, Dawn and Carolyn get under the table. They hear screaming from upstairs. "What is going on?" Dawn yells. Carolyn opens the backdoor and sees Buffy on the ground with Xander in front of her

"What happened?" Carolyn asks as she runs next to Xander.

"I knew that b- idiot would do something stupid!" Xander says angrily.

"I'll call 9-1-1." Carolyn runs inside to call, but she sees Dawn isnt in the kitchen.

"Dawn? Where are you?" Carolyn runs around trying to find Dawn, she sees Willow run past her out the door. "Oh god Tara." Carolyn thought as she ran upstairs, she ses Tara with a gunshot wound. She lays her flat on her back and does CPR, it helps a little. Dawn runs out. Xander and a paremedic runs up to Tara and they get her in an ambulance with Buffy. Carolyn and Dawn are holding each other crying. Xander comes back and sees Carolyn and Dawn upset.

"Carolyn, I need a favor." Xander says.

"What is it?" Carolyn sits up.

"I need you to help me convince Willow to not hurt this man. Anya has the cops on the way, but they need to get there before Willow....hurts him."

"Ok. How's Buffy and Tara?"

Xander is quiet for a minute, "Buffy's fine, but Tara's not doing so well, but I know she's hanging in there."

Xander sees the sadness in both girls. Spike comes in.

"Hey gals." Spike says.

"Hey Spike, can you stay with Dawn while me and Carolyn go after Will?"

"Sure, go ahead." Spikes smiles as Carolyn and Xander leaves. Spike sits with Dawn and rests his hand on her shoulder. "Who's the gal that left with Xander?"

"She's a country singer and also Tara's sister."

"Oh. I see why she went with him. She must've been close with Willow." Spike half smiles.

In the woods, Carolyn and Xander see Willow torturing Warren. Carolyn and Xander attempt to get closer to her.

"Will, you don't want to do this" Xander convinces his best friend, but she doesn't listen.

"Willow, I know you're hurting, I am too but we called the police and they can take him away." Carolyn tells her.

"It won't change anything." Willow says with a low voice.

"Willow, believe me, Tara would not want you to do this. I love you Willow, I don't want to loose you." Xander says.

"I love you too Will, please let the police take care of him." Carolyn says.

Willow finally breaks down, Xander and Carolyn embraces Willow as the cops arrive and arrest Warren and take him away. Xander and Carolyn leads her to the car and they head to the hospital where Buffy and Tara are at. They go in and see Anya and Buffy.

"Hey anything new with Tara?" Carolyn asks.

"She's getting a little better. Her heart is a bit weak, but the docs said it will get better with time." Buffy explains

"I hope she gets better too." Anya says sadly.

"Where's Dawn, she's gotta be devestated." Buffy asks.

"She's with Spike, he's a lil strange, but I'm sure he'll be cool." Carolyn smiles.

"Very strange guy indeed" Buffy smiles, they laugh, trying to lift each other's spirits. Willow's hair turns back red.

"Hey, you're red again." Xander says.

"That's great." Willow smiles as she sees her red hair in the mirror of the waiting room.

"Will, I know Tara means so much to you, but lets you and me go home to stay with Dawn, and we'll get here in the morning." Buffy suggests.

"That will be fine." Willow agrees and smiles.

"Me and Xan-man will stay here." Carolyn jokes.

At the Summers house, Willow and Buffy come in. Dawn runs to them and hugs them tightly.

"Is Tara ok?" Dawn asks.

"She's getting a little better, we just have to pray." Buffy says.

"Yeah." Dawn says, "Willow, you can sleep with me tonight, you're my sister after all." Dawn smiles.

"Thanks Dawnie." Willow hugs Dawn, Dawn hugs back.

Later that night, Dawn and Willow are ready for bed, they hug and kiss on the cheek and sisterly-snuggle in bed. Next morning, Buffy, Willow and Dawn get dressed and go to the hospital where they see Xander, Carolyn and Anya sitting around talking.

"Hey girls, you guys look rested." Xander smiles.

"Thanks, any news on Tara?" Buffy asks, they shake their heads no.

"I hope she gets better, because we have a lot to do together" Willow says, Carolyn gets up and hugs her red-headed sister in law. "Thanks Carolyn."

"No problem." Carolyn smiles at Willow.

The doctor comes out and he dont look happy, the gang stand up facing him.

"I'm afraid to tell you, that Tara had a heart attack last night, and she passed away.

"What?! How did she have a heart attack?? She was doing fine!" Willow yells.

"I know this is sudden, and we don't know how it happened. I'm terribly sorry."

Willow and Carolyn cries in each other's arms. Buffy holds a crying Dawn. Anya and Xander hold each other.

"I don't know why the doctors cant do anything right!" Dawn yells and flays her arms around. Buffy tries to calm Dawn down. Later that day, they're at the Summer's house. Spike stays there and helps Xander comfort the girls.

"Could I help you guyd with anything?" Spike says with a red face from crying a little with the girls.

"No, I think we'll be ok Spike, thanks" Buffy smiles.

"Ok. I'll go. Let me know if you need anything, ok pet?" Spike smiles. He leaves.

A few weeks later they had the funeral for Tara. It was very hard on Willow and Carolyn. Dawn and Buffy were there along with Giles, Anya and Xander. After that, Carolyn and Willow sleep together to comfort each other through the night. Carolyn watches Willow fall asleep then she falls asleep.

~~~In Carolyn's dream, she's in the kitchen and sees Tara~~~

"Tara? What are you doing here?" Carolyn is shocked to see her. They both smile.

"I just wanted you to know that I'm ok, and I want Willow to know that. This has been hard for me too, but you and her need to move on." Tara smiles.

"Thanks Tara. I wish we could've found a way to save you."

"Thanks, but It's just part of life sis. Tell Will hi for me." Tara smiles as she disappears.

~~End of Carolyn's dream~~~

Carolyn awakes to the morning light shining in on her and Willow. The red-head is awake and watching her awake and smiling.

"Hey red, were you watching me sleep?" Carolyn teases her and smiles.

"No, just wondering what you were dreaming about." Willow smiles and she sits up on the bed to put her socks on as she already has a tank top and sweatpants on.

"Actually, Tara was in my dream. She wanted you to know that she was ok."

Willow had a tear in her eye. "That was sweet Carolyn. I'm glad she did that."

"Me too. Hey, we should go to the Bronze tonight. I can sing there." Carolyn smiles as she gets up.

They both go downstairs and see Dawn and Buffy cooking breakfast. Dawn hugs Willow as she hands her a plate with pancakes.

"Thanks Dawnie." Willow smiles and she eats the pancakes on the plate.

Carolyn gets herself some pancakes and put some syrup on. She sits by Willow and they eat together.

"You guys want to join me and Will at the Bronze?" Carolyn asks the Summers.

"Sure, that will be fun." says Buffy.

Later that day, Anya and Xander are with Willow, Buffy and Dawn at the Bronze.

"Where's Carolyn?" Anya asks looking for her. Carolyn is up on stage and going to sing she takes the mic.

"I want to sing 'Die of a Broken Heart', dedicated to my friend Willow, who lost her girlfriend last month, who was also my sister." Carolyn starts singing. Willow tries not to cry but she can't help it. Dawn and Buffy hug Willow. As Carolyn finishes, she goes offstage to hug Willow.

"Thanks Carolyn." Willow says as she tries to calm down.

A dark-haired girl with tanned skin approaches them.

"Hi, Do you guys know a Giles?" The girl asks.

"Yeah, He's a librarian, why?" Buffy answers.

"I'm Kennedy, can you tell him I asked for him?" Kennedy says, then smiles at the red-head.

"Sure. Have a drink with us." Buffy smiles.

"Thanks." Kennedy says as she sits next to Willow. Carolyn sees the dark-haired girl with Willow and looks a little worried. 'Quit worrying, The girl seems nice' Carolyn thought to herself.

"Which one is Willow?" Kennedy asks as she looks around. The red-head says "Me"

"Hey Willow, I'm so sorry about your loss." Kennedy says as she puts her hand on Willow's shoulder.

"Thanks Kennedy, you're sweet." Willow smiles at her.

Kennedy and Willow talk about their lives. A male singer comes out singing "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy", and Carolyn comes out with a cardboard tractor. Everyone laughs except for Kennedy who has a confused look on her face, Willow realizes Kennedy isnt laughing.

"Oh, That must be one of Carolyn's friends she tours with. The song is funny."

"I can see that." Kennedy was gesturing to the tractor.

Kennedy starts to laugh as the boy and Carolyn dance together. Xander takes Anya and they grind a little. Kennedy grabs Willow's hand and they start grinding too. Buffy and Dawn giggle at their friends. When Carolyn is done, she comes offstage and sits with Buffy and Dawn.

"Who's the girl with Willow?" asks Carolyn wondering about the brunette girl.

"That's Kennedy. She could be a new Slayer or something, Giles told us about new Potential Slayers from around the world." Buffy explains.

"Oh, that's interesting." Carolyn turns her head to see Willow and Kennedy dancing like crazy. "They're getting wild on the floor." Carolyn chuckles. Buffy and Dawn laugh along with Carolyn.

After a bit, Willow, Kennedy, Xander, Anya go home after Buffy, Dawn and Carolyn get home. Kennedy and Willow are on the couch next to each other snuggling. Carolyn and Dawn go to bed because they're tired. Willow and Kennedy kiss, then they go upstairs to bed.

"Willow and her or**** friend running up to bed!" Anya exclaims.

"Anya cut it out!" Xander yells.

Carolyn is on the floor in Dawn's room with blankets for her to sleep on and covers. She and Dawn are kept awakes by the noises from Willow and Kennedy's room. "Pipe it down in there!" Carolyn says loudly.

"Sorry Carolyn it always happens in this house." Dawn smiles, they they both laugh.

They finally fall asleep, then the next morning, Carolyn is the first one up and she's cooking everyone eggs, bacon and buscuits. Xander comes in dressed in a three-piece suit ready for work. He grabs a buiscuit that Carolyn got out of the oven.

"Hey thanks for the buscuit, I gotta get to work. See ya." Xander smiles then leaves.

A few weeks later they had the funeral for Tara. It was very hard on Willow and Carolyn. Dawn and Buffy were there along with Giles, Anya and Xander. After that, Carolyn and Willow sleep together to comfort each other through the night. Carolyn watches Willow fall asleep then she falls asleep.

~~~In Carolyn's dream, she's in the kitchen and sees Tara~~~

"Tara? What are you doing here?" Carolyn is shocked to see her. They both smile.

"I just wanted you to know that I'm ok, and I want Willow to know that. This has been hard for me too, but you and her need to move on." Tara smiles.

"Thanks Tara. I wish we could've found a way to save you."

"Thanks, but It's just part of life sis. Tell Will hi for me." Tara smiles as she disappears.

Carolyn awakes to the morning light shining in on her and Willow. The red-head is awake and watching her awake and smiling.

"Hey red, were you watching me sleep?" Carolyn teases her and smiles.

"No, just wondering what you were dreaming about." Willow smiles and she sits up on the bed to put her socks on as she already has a tank top and sweatpants on.

"Actually, Tara was in my dream. She wanted you to know that she was ok."

Willow had a tear in her eye. "That was sweet Carolyn. I'm glad she did that."

"Me too. Hey, we should go to the Bronze tonight. I can sing there." Carolyn smiles as she gets up.

They both go downstairs and see Dawn and Buffy cooking breakfast. Dawn hugs Willow as she hands her a plate with pancakes.

"Thanks Dawnie." Willow smiles and she eats the pancakes on the plate.

Carolyn gets herself some pancakes and put some syrup on. She sits by Willow and they eat together.

"You guys want to join me and Will at the Bronze?" Carolyn asks the Summers.

"Sure, that will be fun." says Buffy.

Later that day, Anya and Xander are with Willow, Buffy and Dawn at the Bronze.

"Where's Carolyn?" Anya asks looking for her. Carolyn is up on stage and going to sing she takes the mic.

"Nothing, its just that Tara and Willow fixed them for me every morning." Dawn smiles.

"Oh, that was cool." Carolyn half smiles, thinking of Tara.
